Bronze bros yay! \O.O/
Bronze bros yay! \O.O/
So MLG Anaheim is this weekend, but I'm going to be out of town and won't be able to watch it. This makes me super sad because I'm stoked about the player lineup, and there's sure to be more juicy drama. Does anyone know where I can find/purchase/download a VOD of the whole event after it's over? Was there ever a way to do it for the old MLG events? I've always had troubles finding any VOD or replay at all for any MLG.
Please do, Julian. I'm sure lots of people would appreciate that, I have a planned weekend so I will miss MLG also :D
Buying myself a new laptop this weekend for ait I should beable to play some games again soon
How'd your basic go man?
Let's post some MLG predictions for those of us that follow the pro-scene. Gonna go with the format of odds-on favorite, sentimental favorite, and anti-pick(someone you think will or would like to see disappoint/underperform).
Odds-on: This is the toughest one to me because I feel like it could go either way between DRG and MMA. Giving the nod to DRG because MMA has been slumping lately.
Sentimental: QXC; see my post about his GSTL performance for why.
Anti-pick: Idra. I actually want him to do well, but I feel like that can't happen until his attitude towards the game changes and I think maybe getting kicked around in this tournament might be what it'll take to make that happen. I'll be happy to be proven wrong here.
Odds-on: DRG, if he can perform like he does in GSTL he's a heavy favorite imo.
Sentimental: BoxeR, would love to see him back in GSL.
Anti-pick: TLO, personally I don't think that his play lives up to all of the following that he gets.
DRG should be the favourite I think.
My anti pick is Haypro because just looking at the guy makes me depressed. It's just something about his face and how he looks that depresses me.
I'm not sure if I have a sentimental pick, there are a lot of people I want to do well but none who I outright want to see win besides possibly boxer but only if he doesn't 2rax a bunch.
Idra vs Boxer coming up on MLG starcraft 2 red.
Thought it was worth mentioning. Also, welcome back Misuicide :D
Odds-on: Huk or DRG.
Sentimental: I'd scream if tyler even makes it out of the open bracket.
Anti-pick: I like Idra, but I want him to fuck up during a big match and make some drama
lol, I just watched my first match.. it's actually exciting... omg, i'm a nerd.
Odds-on: Huk or DRG
Sentimental: qxc or Boxer
Anti-pick: Incontrol and Idra need to screw up bad.
well this explains why HuK hasn't been streaming lately![]()
None of the TL people do. Except for Huk. Haypro is shit. Tyler is shit. TLO is... TLO. Fun and "innovative", but that just doesn't cut it anymore these days. Also, terran is lame.
As for Ret... Sometimes he's good, sometimes he sucks. Definitely above the rest of the team, but nowhere near on par with Huk. TL is completely overrated, and only popular because they were lucky that their site got in at the right time, and became a community hub. (Similar to how BG became a FFXI hub, except FFXI is a mmo, and not an e-sports type game)
As for my picks..
Odds-on: DongRaeGu, Huk, or MMA
Sentimental: qxc, catz, and to a lesser extent: Destiny. I'm not a Destiny fanboy, he's not going to win, or get anywhere close, I just want to wish him some luck and success. Also Ret.
Anti: Tyler. Please stop playing this game. That doesn't mean just stop playing, since I know you already stopped, that also means stop showing up to tournaments. Thanks.
Also, Incontrol. Please stop playing, and please don't go back to casting when you fail. Thank you.
I am also waiting for Idra to supply us with many lolz. Please do not disappoint.
(I am one harsh motherfucker. >:D)
what's with the incontrol hate
That hurtsI like tyler/inc
Changing my anti-pick to drewbie. He sucks and is very ugly
TL does also have jinro and sheth(now) though. Sheth is pretty good and I personally like him a lot - but jinro's pretty eh in my book. Sure, he finished 4th in two GSLs when he was playing a few weeks of metagame ahead of koreans, but then it's like he stopped trying to progress after winning and just fizzled out.
Nobody's skill lives up to their skill except for someone like nestea. It's much more about personality when it comes to "followings" and what not. Nestea has no personality so it's only his skill that speaks for him. TLO's a pretty cool guy though, have to give it to him for being the first SC2 player to get a personal sponsorship while winning pretty much nothing.
OH and also! totally forgot about whitera being in the open brackets. Definitely want him to win a spot in championship brackets and earn some interviews on stage
Edit: for any of you following the open bracket: millenium's ToD knocked out Alicia in the first round 2-0 in a PvP. Pretty impressive if you ask me
But he has good voice impressions, is funny on podcasts, and has a miss USA contestant girlfriend. Some of what's against him is good
