Anna is just as worse as he is. She doesn't even believe in evolution. Don't care how hot she is, she's crazy.

Why is conservative religious nut a point? who cares
..I was just kidding, thoughlol. But where's the evolution thing from? I looked over the title to that thread on TL and I listened to the contestant's answers to that question, after seeing some newspaper/online news thing/something report that only miss mass. and cali. believe in evolution, and they(including oregon) all gave some shitty answers that catered to both sides(which is pretty reasonable to do when you're given 0 prep time to these afaik). Something like, "I think everything should be taught in schools". I'm not about to research this, so I'm just asking if you saw first hand proof of her being dumb.
There was no luck involved in the fact that TL become such a massive SC2 e-sports hub, it was already incredibly well-suited for it since it was already the premier source for BW content. Actually, the fact that there is an actual SC2 team with the name is pretty secondary to the main site, as the BW team had been dead and gone for many many years during TL's highest pre-SC2 growth stages.
That said, yeah most of the team isn't great. Huk is of course (and on a level even above pretty much all the rest of the foreigners), but the rest are inconsistent at best. I feel the worst about Tyler, he has an incredible talent, but just doesn't seem to have any motivation. He never seems to practice and when he does he gets bored/exhausted too fast (happens to me all the time, but that shit is unacceptable for a pro). This is depressing for anyone who was a true BW fan, Tyler was a methodical and glorious player in BW that really made the game fun to watch in the foreigner scene.
Odds-on:
same ol'.. Huk/DRG/MMA/MVP
Sentimental:
Spanishiwa - One of the only other zergs that will play that mass ling infestor Destiny style, but I'd say with better mechanics/more varied play. I guess I'd like to see destiny do well too just because I love watching that super infestor style.
Huk - I've watched his stream for so long, really fun play, love watching his playstyle.
Boxer - Why not, its the goddamn emperor.
Anti-:
Major - annoying
Drewbie - dunno why, never liked the way he plays though.
HD - lol
Ugggggggh wat. Whitera lost in the open bracket because of a walkover. I remember hearing maybe demuslim or thorzain in a TL post/live thing saying that you're treated poorly in the open brackets and need to be on time or else in ~10 minutes you're awarded the loss. I could imagine white-ra fucking that up. I'd rather him lose to a no-name than screw something up most likely due to a language barrier ><
And I have to echo being disappointed with tyler. Sucks that he isn't doing as much practicing as he did in bw, but I do still enjoy him playing even if it is just for his name across the top banner and the hope that he finally got his stuff together.
god damn, sitting around watching game streaming all day and still not done yet
evo, mlg, now gsl final
too godly
I guess I can't buy a laptop for 3 more weeks but there's a rec center here in my company I can use on weekends so when I get a chance it'll be good to play. But that will be after workout session
Dear goodness. Choya v Jinro in open winners round 5. Nuclear launches ftw!
Spoiler: show
Hey guys, little bit off topic for a sec but I'm trying to get hold of a US version of the game so I can play with you all but am having problems due to being in Europe.
I've made a US account on battle.net but it doesn't like using my EU credit card to buy the US game, which leaves me with either paying loads on an import or sticking with an EU version.
If I was able to find someone to buy the game in the US for me and I pay back with paypal (on the buy/sell forum, for instance) would I then be able to use that game code to download the client from the battle.net site and get around the issue like that?
Immense failure? It was pretty awesome
NASL was pure shit until the finals, and even then the casting was pure shit. Gretorp sucks at casting more then he sucks at playing. Incontrol is pretty awful at it too.
Yes that would work if you can find someone to do it for you.If I was able to find someone to buy the game in the US for me and I pay back with paypal (on the buy/sell forum, for instance) would I then be able to use that game code to download the client from the battle.net site and get around the issue like that?
It was their first time with casters that have never casted professionally on a big stage before, what did you expect? Were you this bitter with first few seasons of gsl/mlgs too?
100k prize, fantastic players playing, and some really great games = complete shit? Come on.. I think a little incontrol/gretorp hate is spilling over to your opinion of the NASL.
I agree that their casting is something I don't pay attention to when watching since I enjoy the analytical style and neither of them have a really deep understanding. It's pretty much a stale play by play with awkward jokes. But to say NASL was complete shit? I haven't enjoyed any MLG as much as I did the last few games of the NASL
Edit: Husky: "and if you can't get in through the front, come in through the back - he's doing a drop in the back; he doesn't have any units in the overlords but" golden
In other news, GSL Finals continues to be GSL Finals.
^
There were way too many games, and they were like every day.
And in the end, NONE OF THOSE GAMES MATTERED. Random Korean who joined in on the last second wins it all.
Yes, there were some good games, and yes, Puma was awesome and gave a really good show. Doesn't change how bad the entire season was, and how pointless it ended up being at the end. Also, you'd think that after all of the issues they had to deal with during the regular season, improving production value, etc, you would THINK that they would have learned something to fix that. But no. The only good thing about the finals were some of the games, and the casting when it didn't include gretorp or incontrol.
Horrible issues with sound, horrible interviews (COME THE FUCK ON), they didn't have anyone fucking observing the games/moving the camera until someone volunteered to do it. How the FUCK did they mess so many things up? Incontrol was only one of the reasons why NASL was horrible.
Wow, ToD's made it through the losers bracket of the open. His road's been sending alicia to the loser's bracket 2-0 and knocking him out in the loser's bracket with a 4-2 extended series. Then he beat Hawk(idk him, but he got sent to the loser's bracket first round and played his way all the way to the finals) 2-1. Pretty impressive, I knew I liked the guy after seeing him play/cast sc2 for the first time in homestory cup
White-ra vs demuslim in the losers bracket finals atm
aaand white-ra takes it 2-1
what >_> ToD loses 2-0 to choya in like <20 minutes after taking down SO many protoss 2-0 in open brackets. He beat alicia 4-2.. how's he lose to choya's pvp when even tyler beat him 2-0
>.< I so wanted Ret to beat Rain there...
Rain just got into too good of a position for Ret's composition to deal with. I'm surprised Ret didn't transition to higher tech units when he was left alone on 3-base for those few minutes.
though NASL under performing may have a bit to do with it he had to move out of state to do that casting and he wasn't able to practice like a player who gets salary to perform should so quitting it to be able to focus on playing isn't something to hate him for.
A lot of the time when I read people who hate incontrol half the time their reasoning is them not understanding something he said that was obviously sarcastic or a joke. Most of the other half don't like that he often says what he is thinking (politically correct or not) which I tend to prefer to your average fairly boring gamer personality.
