So what kind of video player was the Bnet using where you could just rewind and watch it, even in HD. It sure beats waiting for people to upload vods when you can just basically use it like a PVR

I have kept up with competitive sc2 but stopped actually playing myself midway through season 1. I just played a custom vs ai game and im so fucking terrible now. Should I just keep spamming vs AI games until I get back to speed? I was gold 1v1/2v2.

If you're able to beat very hard AI, then you should be around plat easily, in regards to 1v1 anyways.

It's as I typed; if you can beat very hard AI, you should be platinum easy. If you aren't platinum even after beating very hard, then you either did 1) terran wall in>mass>beat comp or abused their AI by ping ponging their army via air harass on their base.

If you still aren't plat in straight up games even after beating very hard AIs, then the problem most likely lie in your mechanics and multitask skills. Moreso the former than the latter.

Took months off after I dinged silver in 1st, and I came back with better openings (I used to go 12 hatch/11 pool or some confusing stuff, or 11 depot/13 rax) and destroyed very hard AIs as either zerg/terran. Dinged right into diamond after a week of practice on AIs/watching replays/customs with friends.

You lost me there. I'm sure no 1v1 bronze leaguer can beat AI above medium. If they could, they ain't no bronze to begin with lol.

Human opponents are obviously better in terms of gauging yourself, but to say AI is terrible practice for the lower leagues is a bit misleading.

Thanks Rehn, after playing some vs AI games and working on my openings again I'm starting to get loose. I just had a nice game vs Terran where I'm pretty happy with my Infestor play so I'm pleased with the progress I've made today Still placing.. I figure I'll end up in gold again..probably where I belong atm too.
