ZvZ openings are a coin flip, if you hatch first and they 7pool you lose, if they hatch first and you 14/14 you're behind.

i almost never 7pool now, but i wanted to see if the cheese would work

Depends on map. If you can get the close by air overlord scout, just copy the other guy. At low levels, with the amount of cheese, probably something like a 10-12 pool should be safe, and wont put you tooo far behind a 14 pool. The closer the rush distances, you might want a bit on the earlier, if it's a long map (lol, with the maps blizzard makes, yeah right), 14gas/14pool should be pretty safe.

I'd say a 14 pool is probably safest. You're not at a level where the difference mentioned by stewie above will make-or-break your gameplay. But if you hatch first and your opponent 7-pools, you will very likely lose right then and there.

14pool/13gas. pump out 4 lings and a queen when the pool is done (dont forget your overlord at 15 or 16). start speed for lings ASAP. use lings to scout, if he hatched, you hatch. if he didnt, throw down a roach warren and go from there
