It's under the "fade sound effect when alert..." or something deal they added. Slide the bar to 100 and it should be as good as before. Should be under options > sounds or along those lines.
Praise raptor jesus. That was lagging my game in a 4v4 since I was getting a ton of random sounds every few seconds.
Someone come 1v1 with meeee.![]()
I've seen some games with some interesting gameplay involving motherships post update; I need to get back into this game more seriously and try this shit out.
lol. Anyone watching WCG? Nestea vs Gumiho was pathetic, Gumiho kills nesteas 200/200 infestor corruptor broodlord muta bane army and loses 15 supply.
To be fair, I don't see how the fight should have gone any different. He was at 200/200 doing absolutely nothing in the way of harassing or attacking, had his full composition scanned and adjusted to, and still just sat there waiting defiantly for Gumiho to attack into it. He shouldn't have been surprised when Gumiho actually did something about it and built a really good composition to deal with it. Ravens (with seeker missle!) vikings, banshees, mass thor and a handful of tanks and blue flame hellions SHOULD deal with Nestea's composition as easily as it did.
I was pretty disappointed to see him playing so passively, he definitely should have made it out of that group. He is definitely a better player than Gumiho, but he just did not look as beastly as he usually does.
So you think that a race should be able to completely dominate another race at 200/200 vs any composition? Nothing Nestea could have made would have killed that, and the only option was to base race, but he had immobile brood lords that wouldn't have helped at all.
I did not say that. Honestly, I play Protoss and severely doubt the game is balanced. Terran is by far my least favorite race.
That doesn't change the fact that Nestea did not play well. He committed to an immobile army composition, maxed out, did not attack/pressure/trade armies, got scouted completely, and then waited for his Terran opponent to max out, and waited for him to attack right in front of his own base. Do you think he should have won that situation? If zerg is supposed to win that situation, how the hell would they lose?
And do you really think that composition is unbeatable? I've seen Nestea himself beat it or similar mixes (with mass baneling, roach/ling/infestor, ultra/ling/roach, counter-drops, etc.), and usually in a worse position (economically/tech wise). And even if there wasn't a single army that could take it out, there certainly are plenty that could do way more damage than he did. His positioning and engagement timing were horrible. Even his composition seemed pretty horrible... what exactly was the point of like 12+ Brood lords? To counter the 2-3 tanks in that ball? Or whatabout the 6~ish corruptors and handful of infestors, how were they going to do anything against like 15+ vikings and 2-3 ravens with seeker missile. That fight was a massacre because Terran built an army composition that countered what Nestea had and Nestea didn't do anything about it.
Hunter Seeker and tanks destroy banes, roaches are horrible vs Thors en masse, Infestors get sniped by Ravens, and ultra lings and roach are all countered by the banshees he had. Yes, I think if the Terran has good control that army comp is completely unkillable. The only thing that did counter it was neural, and now that it's 7 range it's impossible to get off on that type of army comp.
Dude just stop. This isn't age of empires, this game doesn't care about how one army hard counters another. "Counters" in this game is part unit composition, part timing, and part position.
The point of the zerg as a race is to out number and swarm your opponent constantly, harass and make them be in three places at once. If you're just sitting in one spot doing nothing as zerg, you will lose your army and die. If you want to sit like a turtle and force your opponent to come to you, play terran and go marine/tank. Otherwise, chalk it up to a bad day and try again next time.
Did anyone catch day9's EU monobattles? I played again. And I was on his team this time! :D
Sounds like fun julian, I wish the net here on base wasn't so crappy so i could play more then a 1v1. lol
Funday Monday for next week is Monobattles, who's down for that shit on say... Friday? With the normal shenanigans we seem to do in 3s or 4s, it would be fairly epic to do some Monobattles and send them in to day9.
I'd be interested. It depends on what time on Friday, but I can play at work that night, albeit with a really shitty computer that might cause a lot of slowdown in 4v4s lol
10-35 today in team matchmaking. Love retards who tech stupid ass shit
I need to get into this again. Any one gonna be playing a lot tomorrow? I think I'm gonna spend some hours on this tomorrow in between BF3 groups.
