I just had a very strange game against protoss as Zerg. I was expecting a 4 gates push, but he ended rushing me with a mothership (not really a "rush", but he pushed it out pretty damn fast)

However, since I was expecting a base trade from this game (I was going muta against what I thought was 4 gates), I ended up building an expand on the opposite side of the map, put down some building over there and left my main undefended as a bait. He obliterated my base as planned while my mutas managed to snipe his probes and nexus.

I had the game at that point, but in panic, I ended up building a bunch of static defense in my 2nd base destroying what was left of my economy (only had 1 drone left).

Then we spent the next 10 min trying to finish each other base with the few units we had left. I screwed up, ended up losing most of my muta trying to kill that mothership, but by then, my economy was back and I could finish him.



Anyway, I wonder how powerful this mothership strats is, because I was screwed if i hadn't expected a base trade and built in two places.

I remember seeing a (fanmade?) video of a few guys trying to fight off the starcraft "korean invasion" or some jazz. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Could possibly be an old video.

Not quite off topic but after todays DAY9 daily tonight he will be casting himself playing amnesia.
Also State of the game last night had Idra, Destiny, Tyler, Day9 and Incontrol Talking about the testing of the new HOTS units.

2base mothership all-ins can be very effective if it catches the Z offguard.

I started at the top position in t Shipward map, he was on the right side. Flying from his main to my main by air doesn't take that long.

Yeah Idra said some of the units are what zerg needed but others he said were incredibly imba and he doesn't know how they would balance it. But the rest of them had some constructive things to say about it.

My zvz is pretty good.
My zvp is terrible.
My zvt is... well, depends on the terran. If he is below my skill level, it is easy, if he is above/nearsame, it is impossible. aka pretty bad, but not as bad as zvp
