SC2 29.99 until 11/28, if anyone out there (like me) had just been mooching guest accounts for single player until now.

So I just went to my first lan event, was fun >_>
Lost on the first round to a masters protoss who went on to beat catz in the semifinals, and then lost in a pvp in the finals. <_<
And then I lost to a platinum zerg in the consolation bracket (not really losers bracket since you couldnt go back up) ._. mostly because I was playing on a laptop (which I never really did before) and the screen was tiny as hell, didn't see stuff in the minimap I was supposed to and lost terribly because of it.
fun times overall tho!
So Amazon did a Black Friday deal on a Razer SC2 Specter down from £50 to £30. I managed to snag one in the 40 seconds they were available but, because I don't like buying myself things so close to Christmas (could better spend the money on partner/family) I was sat staring at the basket for a while debating with myself.
Girlfriend walks past, asks me what I'm doing, then pushes me out of the way and buys it herself saying it'll be a stocking filler for me. I have an awesome girlfriend.
So, for those of you who own a Razer mouse, how does it compare to bog standard $20 laser mice?
Doesn't it have flashing lights that change depending on your apm? I guess it'd help keep you focused if you were slowing down a little and wanted to train yourself to keep moving. As for quality, I haven't heard many negative comments on it, since I was looking into that and the sc2 keyboard not too long ago.
Specter is probably the most uncomfortable mouse I've ever used. Returned it a day after using it.
Uncomfortable how? Too big/small or just a bad form factor?
Salodin, yes that's the one.
I was originally looking at the Deathadder which was cheaper than the Specter, but with this deal the Specter became cheaper.
I don't know about the Spectre but I'm really particular about the shape of mice body. I used to have a Razer Lachesis, and it was a decent mouse, but my problem was the shape of the mouse. That particular model was really long and didn't have much of a curve. I rest my palm on the body of the mouse and the way the Lachesis was flat made it very uncomfortable for me. I eventually gave that Lachesis to a friend in exchange for a Logitech G5 which was way more comfortable for me.
I just returned a G500 because it was so uncomfortable to me. It felt like it was designed to have your middle finger on the wheel and have ring finger on the right button, which just felt too uncomfortable to me. If I held it like normal though, my ring and pinky finger felt very weird and I just couldn't use it for more then an hour with out getting very fatigued, which I've never had which my chepo dell mouse that came with my computer.
Seriously, NOBODY wants to do games tonight?
another original deathadder user here.
its the only mouse you will ever need
I had a mamba, loved it. Except it kinda broke. Battery life was shit on wireless so I ended up using it wired all the time (ended up not being a super huge deal). After a few months, it started to fall apart. It would randomly stop responding. I would have to fiddle with the usb cable, unplug, replug, sometimes that didn't fix it and I had to keep fiddling. Was annoying as fuck.
Was a great mouse until it broke. Amazon refused to give me a new mouse because they were out of stock, and gave me a partial (80%ish) refund only as a "one time special offer" for some reason I don't remember. They didn't give a shit about the whole 2 year warranty I was supposed to have. I could have gone to Razor with it but I didn't feel like it.
Took refund, got the latest gen deathadder, (cheaper, too! saved money) love it to death, and I hope it never breaks.
edit: lol
I thought that hit like 2 weeks ago?
It did lol
Tod vs happy game 1...
Poor day9, that's all I have to say. Poor everyone that's still there waiting for these last few games to end.
