i just want to say that Homestory cup 4 was an incredible tournament and it made me so happy watching it. such awesome people there, the production team was amazing, i love dimaga, mrbitter, and especially TaKe. he did such a good job running the tournament and i cant wait for the next HSC. i seriously am jealous that i cannot be in that house
been trying a extremely fast FE build lately but it requires my second CC to become a fortress... When i put the fortress and orbital on the same control group it ques all my scvs to just the orbital anyway to fix this?
example i have orbital and fortress on same ctrl group... if i hit s 4 times it ques 4 scvs on the orbital and 0 on the fortress
i think the bigger issue it hand is that your second cc is a planetary fortress

Stewie tells you how to fix it, but like the others have said, don't do it if you have to make a fortress. It doesn't really put you behind, but it doesn't put you as far ahead as an expo should with how awesome mules are. The third/fourth should be PFs to help defend them, the second which is usually at a natural are pretty much always OCs.
Rather, look at what you're doing that makes you have to make a PF; by the sound of it they're trying to punish you for going early CC, and you're trying to defend with PF. I'd work on early expanding cause it's a great build to know, but figure out how you can defend it by just using your early barracks units + a bunker or two instead.
You never need to make a pf unless the expo is going to be risky or out of place and easily accessible. Any expo that is easily covered by your army should always be an orbital. On most new maps this pretty much just leaves gold expos as open and super vulnerable.
I thought that blizzard choose the new map pool for latter because they were the new tournament maps and had open expansions
I kind of like doing it because it catches the opponent off guard. They generally respond by rushing me which is exactly what i want. They rush and just lose troops to the fortress Which just gives me more time to mass a huge army. Honestly I though the build order was stupid as hell when i watched the video at work last night but I've been trying it against VT AI and 1-2 league matches and its been helping a lot. Also i have a lot of trouble with baling bust and this basically neutralizer it. This is the build order:

No offense, but that's a terrible build. :/ It works at low levels because, well, any "build" that you come up with before the game, and follow, will do better than whatever the fuck bronze people do.
For starters, fast expanding in that map (oh how I miss you, steppes of war) is dumb. Yeah, I know it's not for that map, but you have to keep the map in mind. TvP in Tal'darim? Pretty fucking safe to CC first. Antiga? Pretty safe to CC first. Xel'naga? Probably not. (But you can still do a 1rax-expand or other kind of early expo)
If you see someone doing something retarded like this, the correct response would be to probably like, double expand, lol. The reason you're winning is because people are making the wrong decision of attacking when they're not really able to kill a planetary. Also, how exactly would this stop a baneling bust if the ramp is out of range from the planetary? It wouldn't >_>
Learn how to expand safely in the map pool, and learn to love bunkers at your entrance. 2 bunkers pretty much stops most types of aggression. If you're playing vs protoss, and see that they're setting up a pylon and getting ready to attack, then pull SCVs so they're ready to repair.

You may have some success with that build in the lower leagues, but you'll hit a wall once you reach Gold or Plat and realize how terrible that build is. Not to mention that you lose all aggressive capabilities, so you won't be able to learn and get a feel for when you can and should go for the kill early game.
meh hes a master league player now so figured it was something interesting >< Just sick of doing MMM lol trying 1/1/1 into banshies for tvt but not having much luck
