After watching the spring kespa tourney I have to say that based on his interview and the introduction all the players got, he seems like a pretty cool dude that hasn't let his success get to him too much. Definitely enjoy watching him, Jaedong and Bisu. Even though I wasn't into the Brood War scene, I can tell that if those 3 keep at this they could dominate their respective races.
That being said I still hope to see players like Stephano and Destiny continue to grow (can you tell I'm a zerg?). I don't follow the pro scene much but it seems like Destiny doesn't get a lot of attention aside from when he gets negative attention for things he's said.
Also I was in the dumbest fucking 2v2 today... 4 zergs. Was just... fucking dumb. I have ZvZ so fucking much. Did end up winning though.
Stephano I can see, but by this point destiny will never be a top or even mid tier pro. He just doesn't care enough.
Destiny fell off the face of the earth didn't he? I haven't seen anything from him in months.
Like Eanae said, he'll never be anything but mid tier pro MAYBE. Stephano has potential though, Jaedong even said Stephano was his favorite foreign player.
On subject of the kespa pros moving to sc2, yes, flash will dominate within a year I'm sure. The other players didn't have nearly the skill level flash had during the MLG event. Flash seemed code A for sure. He made a few wonky builds here and there but that's because he's only been playing for 2 1/2 months.
On topic of SC2, I'm playing again, I mostly do 3v3 but I REALLY wanna get back into 1v1s. I always get high diamond and stop playing because it becomes too much of a chore. Currently rank 1 masters 3v3
I'm into 2v2 if you ever want to try that, I also team up with Ryze. I'm rusty and need to get back into this.
Destiny was at that Red Bull LAN that Day9 casted but I suppose that doesn't really matter. Iunno, I really like his playstyle and watching him stream. If he can make money off of coaching people and his stream then more power to him. It would just be cool to see him really work at it.
@ Salodin I play at really fucking weird times lol, basically whenever I feel like it, but shoot me an AIM or MSN and I'll add you and hit you up whenever I want to do some games if you're on. Top 8 in 2v2 Plat atm. (So terrible.)
Guess Destiny didn't fall off the earth, found his stream on TL today :/ I'm so jealous of his upload. That quality stream is ugh, so good.
lol
Any 2v2ers tonight? Ill be free after 4 or 5pm est.
bump, any team games today?
I might come on later tonight
Best overlay ever or best overlay ever?
Spoiler: show
Anyone have some tips on playing Terran? Theyre my favorite faction at the moment and Im still just starting out. Havent ventured online yet other then against some friends who also suck.
Also dont say BUILD MOAR THORS if possible.
Anything that starts with an M is good and you probably don't need anything else to win until Masters.
SCVs and supply depots; if you forget everything else, remember this part at least lol. Make it your goal to keep yourself below 1k minerals. Upkeep yourself with more barracks/manufacturing structures as game reaches late stage, or you'll get outproduced. When in doubt, save a scans worth of energy, but try to launch those mules cause $$$=awesome.
Terran is pretty fun, but mechanically they are quite tricky to keep up with for new people. Just experiment and what have you. Also, try team games, but do keep in mind you'll occasionally run into dunces. Otherwise they can be fun with big battles here and there, and the comebacks from the brink always leave a good feeling inside.
Watch progamers, preferably Koreans. Find a Terran you like and copy his build, 1 for each matchup. I hate to say it, but don't try to be original. The fastest way to learn is from what's already been tried and true.
Polt is a great Terran role model, he's very solid and standard.
