While we agree that Infestors are being used too abundantly in many games, we are aiming to address this concern carefully to ensure that we don’t completely discourage the use of Infestors.
Generally speaking, we want to slightly reduce Fungal Growth in all three matchups, and we feel reducing the casting range would help us achieve this goal. We anticipate that the reduction in health for Infested Terran eggs will be most noticeable in the PvZ matchup when Psi Storm is used. The Raven change helps Terran players in late game TvZ scenarios and has the potential to introduce new Terran late game strategies.
On December 4, after a brief maintenance period in each region, the following balance changes will take effect globally:

Terran

Upgrade requirement removed for Raven seeker missile.

Zerg

Infested Terran eggs health down from 100 to 70

Fungal Growth range down from 9 to 8

Again, to be clear, these changes will take effect after a short maintenance in each region is complete, and neither a patch nor any other special action will be required to experience them in-game.
Our plan is to apply this balance update and monitor the effects of these changes. The extensive testing and quality of feedback we’ve received on the last two balance maps have allowed us to make this call. Please keep in mind that our goal with this patch is to make small changes that nudge balance in the right direction. With Heart of the Swarm launching in March, we will have more time to address balance concerns further if necessary.

It's pretty nice race, but the mechanics to master it is a little harder than zerg in my opinion (you are zerg right?).

Going from zerg>terran was quite a shock to me as I thought they were just badass-op-wtf-marines-only race and it required more of my attention. I couldn't select my building, spam O 5x for extra supply, and go quickly back to my army. Had to select SCV and do it. Having to upkeep more and more production buildings as the game goes on was something I had to just learn. Not just simply plopping down an extra hatchery or 2 and can build whatever out of those.

Oh, and you do feel like a god when you stutter step the shit out of those marines and annihilate whatever was going after them, and only lose a few or marines. It's glorious.

I've already benefited from the nerf in my 2v2 match ups. I didn't understand the seeker missile change, ravens spawn with the ability, or it was removed entirely?

I dunno, he has quite the stage presence and, though controversial, get's a lot of attention. That's exactly the kind of the thing EG is smart about prioritizing. I've often seen Alex Garfield talking about how he always approaches sponsors from the position of a marketing firm, not a progaming team. It shows in the types of ventures and sponsor support they put out there.

Also, Gredival is with EG? Or is that more of a EG-fan "we"?

I am the lead content developer for EG's Dota 2 and I help run the organization's Dota 2 tournament.

As for iNcontroL, I think Geoff's a great player to have on a team. No team is made up of pure top level talent. Incredible Miracle, StarTale, Liquid... every team has stand-out stars that can consistently place extremely high, and its "average" pros who while in the top 5% of the population aren't in the top 1% of the population.

I think the important thing is that EG is ahead of the curve in terms of its ability to use resources (including players) to position itself to improve. iNcontroL isn't bringing home MLG titles? Well there are other things he can do, like cast at other tournaments and increase the team's presence. He casts our MCSL team league. He produces Geniuses Falling content for fans. When Quantic signed personality players like Destiny and Maximus though, they didn't utilize them. Obviously those guys aren't going to be bringing in titles and that's not why you should want them anyway. When you just trot them out to tournaments and do nothing else, they go to waste,

It's also the equivalent situation in professional sports where having a bigger budget, and then using those superior resources wisely, allows lets a team position themselves to be more aggressive about high profile signings... which in turn, opens up more success and revenue opportunities. The Lakers are perpetually paying luxury tax out of the profits of their TV deal because they want to be bringing in better players so they can continue to win titles.
