What do you use before roaches ( if anything ) and what do you transition into afterwards?
The usual response from terrans is to start pumping marauders ( if they opened w/ marauders and you kept making roaches then you deserve to lose ), put a few spine crawlers at your natural and threaten... but transition into muta>broodlord or into hydras.

You can get a hydra den up very very fast which counters any cheesy 1 base fast banshee crap that terrans like to use a lot as well.
The good part about this is the ranged attack upgrade adds +2 damage/upgrade to roaches ( only +1 to hydra ) so your roaches end up doing 22 damage/shot and just keep a nice amount of roaches to tank for your hydras behind them.

I always like to keep some zerglings out vs terrans as well - if they go MMM you can just throw down a baneling nest and convert them all to banelings and burrow them.

The main problem people have vs Terrans as zerg is a lot of zerg players just pump one unit type and then switch to one other unit type later - you really have to mix your army composition vs Terran because the default terran compositions are mixed as well.

I usually go with speedlings+banes to break through their damn wall and harrass first before I build my lair. Then I'll build mutas and more lings. Right now though it feels like terran ground pretty much completely wipes the floor with zerg at least at tier 1. If you want to stand up to a Marauder ball you need hydras and infestors are good for fungal growth also. Im right now in silver though so if you have any suggestions that could help me I'm open to them.

Got into beta... don't even remember signing up. Never played Starcraft I, and I don't have any blizzard game on my battlenet account. That said, I would also gladly trade this for a FFXIV beta <.<

WTF is this shit, I've been playing SC since release, have been signed up for the Beta since the day the signups started and have like 7 different Blizzard games on my Bnet account and I can't get in, yet new people who just signed up are getting in constantly. Looking forward to this tourney, Husky makes me laugh quite a bit. Some fairly big names on the roster as well, Jinro vs WhiteRa should be very exciting.
