It's amazing how good Thor's are against Gateway units. I seriously won a match that was just 3 Marauders and 1 Thor with 6-7 SCV's repairing it. Sure you can try to snipe out the SCV's but the Thor just owns face while you do so. I proxied a second Factory nearby and unleashed the Thor on my opponent.

THOR IS HEREE.

I absolutely dread playing Terran above all other races but is there a good counter to mass muta? It seems like I lose every single time. The Missile Turrets don't do squat if they are grouped up in numbers of 15-20. I'm thinking a mix of Maraines/Vikings but Muta with Roach/Hydra diversions just seems too overwhelming imo.

Raven hunter-seeker missiles will destroy mass mutas.

Anyone have a list of the achievements they added? I'm guessing they are going to be similar to the WoW PVP ones where you need to win X number of games.

that's not much of an exploit imo, just a newer version of the 6pool

edit: hmm... about 30 seconds faster i guess, so maybe you are right, i'll have to try it out

ya tried the exploit, really not that big of a deal, maybe good against protoss but that's it

then again, 6pool was the most effective against protoss too so

Looking for some help here. I just downloaded the legit beta installed and I got caught in that repeating loop of updating. I read the two options I have are running the SC2Switcher.exe file or uninstalling and reinstall. I've tried both and have had no luck. Any ideas? Running Win7 Ultimate 64 fwiw.

Gdi...server went down as I was winning my last placement match, and it counted as a defeat. So lame.

It's mainly just Win X as you said. There is also a few general ones where you have to win 5 matches in a row. They'll probably add more interesting ones for the single player campaign.

lol, so i won all 5 of my placement matches and got placed into plat, then i lost like 10 games in a row and got dropped all the way down to bronze

I absolutely loved loved the Warcraft III Single Player Campaigns and I can tell just from the videos that it is only going to get better. Something cool about the video is you can advance to the next Cutscene and the Second Mission also.

Wow the single player information looks awesome, you even get to walk around 'in carna' as opposed to simply viewing briefs and playing RTS mode the whole time. I am very excited now and am absolutely okay with paying for the 2 subsequent expansions.
