I dont know why people hate it, its not so bad.

it's garbage
not a bug

I don't mind twilight too much because my 2v2 partner and I have had nearly a 90% win ratio on it over the course of the beta using the same, defense and macro oriented build. Still, that's not a good thing either, we pretty quickly became bored with it.

The way they're going with the Real IDs is really promising. They are also going to be allowing you to integrate it with Facebook. I really like this as it'll let me get all my friends who play in my buddy list without having to track down all their in game identifiers and character names and/or email addresses.
Yea it is pretty cool. Really looking foreward to release, glad I've been in beta to kill some time, lol.
I've been doing a lot of 1v1s with one of my platinum buddys, he's taught me a lot, and it has gotten me a lot better, lol. I still need to work on my late game though, its pretty crappy.
how do you stop mass Z and collossus as terran? i do have some vikes, but my main military gets owned pretty bad.
I beat his zerg for the first time last night, i can only do it early game though, otherwise he is just too strong. Void ray and z rush ftw!
Finally. I was starting to think I would be in gold league forever

Also, why nearly every game I win end up with people complaining about cheese? Is it the standard insult in SC2, or is anything but mass unit called cheese now? If I lead the dance and make them go ground unit to use my void ray, it's not cheese, it's them being retarded.
Thor's hold their ground pretty nicely against a Colossus. If you can get your Thor to flank their group and snipe out the Colossi with the 250mm cannons you should be set. If you're looking for a more conventional build just grab some Valks and have them flank/snipe out the Colossi.
As far as mass zerg units goes try a mixture of Tanks up in the back lines. If you see Roach/Hydra do Marauders/Thors as Thors generally destroy Hydras if left to their own devices. I've also seen lots of Raven being used but it's kind of an annoyance to tech Hunter Seeker Missile.
Mass Z as in zealots, cause when they get charge, its fucking pointless to micro as terran.
and they decided to have a Maint when i was in the middle of an epic match, both bases destroyed, but i had lots of medivacs and he didn't have much of an army left, but i'll just say i won.
If they are not upgraded, microing your hellion or reaper can get ride of the zealot really fast (hit, run, repeat). If they are upgraded (I assume they are if he has collosus), your best bet would be air unit (banshee/cruiser) to take care of his ground. Viking also do wonder against collosus with their long range, but if he has no air attack, banshee will do the job.
About late game (or rather, in preparation of the late game), the most important thing you need to remember is to not let your economy fall behind. If your opponent harvest 16 minerals and you only have 8, it won't take long before he get the upper hand. If he expand, you have to follow him and expand as well, or hit it before he get the advantage. It's generally true unless you have a very good plan (cheese, a good hard counter ready..etc).
If you're able to control the economy, all you need to do is get your counter ready (and anticipate his reaction which is generally a hard counter to your current unit). Against protoss, I generally go with 2 reapers/3-4marauders to defend my base early, then tech quickly to starport. If he is open to air attack, I go banshee and rape his harvester, if he is trying to pull a fast one with void ray, I go viking and build marine, and if he is going mass stalker, I go mass marauder + medivac. With satellite station, you should be able to get a good idea what's comming for you, and counter it.
tldr
go air against z+collosus. If he is turtling, go cruisers and upgrade their attack. In my experience, 5-6 cruisers destroy pretty much anything they are tossed against.
A single ghost can do really high damage with EMP shockwave. Raven are sweet, but cost so much to upgrade I think you're better off with cruisers to counter his attack after.
The Problem with Banshee's against a smart toss is Templar own banshee's. All it takes is a couple templar in with some stalkers and the Banshee's go bye bye.

Round of 8 starts this Friday, 1 PST, and continues Saturday at 1 PST.
Live matches, with slight casting delay to prevent cheating.
It depends how late in the game. He was talking about a zealot army/collosus without anything else. I would definitively go air against that in most scenario I can think off. You have the potential to do huge damages without losing anything. In fact, it would be enough to sacrifice my base (can survive with lift off) and get his main base (gateway's pilon/stargate).
Even if he had templar, feedback only works if banshee have a lot of energy, and it involve a lot of microing. It's likely that he could wipe out most templar unless the guy is a god of microing and had observer ready for it.
I wouldn't mass banshee, but 6-7 could make some serious damage to an all ground unit if you hit him at the right time.
Just got done doing some 2v2, (rank 10 plat now crazy). Pretty much this happens to me every game. Both guys spend all the resources going after me, buddy builds up, and steam rolls them. lol
It was enemy z, z, vs us P, T. They hit me with mass ling/roach, survive 1 attack, get owned by 2nd, i lost most everything in inital attack. toss all my resources to my buddy and he ownes them both with banchee and mars.
Hey you wanna do some practice 2v2s some time? Me and my 2v2 partner are platinum and have been prior to the last few resets, could be good practice for league matches. We are PZ, and prior to the resets we were generally top8 or higher in our division (we hit #1 a couple times when we played enough).
