So him using a counter to all those tanks makes that unit overpowered?
The Terran didn't scout, and sat on a ton of tanks for way too long without moving out, and just let the Protoss mass up on VRs. Mass Carrier or Phoenix would've won him the game too. Are those units overpowered too?
He also kept seiging his tanks when unseiged tanks are better against pretty much every toss unit unless you're defending from the highground. If Incontrol would have attacked in better positions he would have won the game way earlier, but for some reason he tried to force his way into small spaces. The Voidrays were an amusing ending to a terribly played game on both sides.
I just played that stupid 4v4 map. some bs stuff can happen there, like flying rax's ontop of the cliffs, lol and sniping workers and stuff, garbage map. Somehow we managed to win. I had 3 immortals with 40 kills each, no idea how I did that, put it was pretty funny, all had like 3-4hp left, but i ran them the hell away when they got to like 20 shields. I had 6 immortals for a good 25 mins just wreaking havoc. Extinction sucks. no more 4v4s. lol I do like the 3v3 map though, i just hope on release they don't have as many shared bases. I dont' like it very much
i dont know what it is but it seems like all of the protoss i fight in platinum league suck ass. i tech to mutas while slowly building fastlings from 2 bases. when i finally attack i dont even need the 12 mutas that i have, my fast lings can win themselves

thats a replay of my basic build
im EdGein(zerg)
criticism?
Om nom nom tower D
Gonna check it out, give me a bit.
Also about the mass VR in that vid posted. I am gonna agree with what the others said, if Terran is going mass mech how would you beat it? Play to their strengths and go mass ground? Thats stupid. When someone has that many tanks your fucked, plain and simple.
Also this is in part due to protoss's lack of any good air options. Your stuck with VR, Phoenix, or a Carrier and when VR do the job of a carrier and are cheaper and require less tech and time to make(think making interceptors) and are better damage against high armor targets(armor fucks over interceptors multiple low damage hits) then VR IS YOUR ONLY CHOICE.
OP unit? No. Lack of any better choice? Yes.
And yea that terran was bad, no scouting, no pushing, and sitting in his base way too long.
OK I watched the replay and this is what I saw...
-Protoss in the beginning took like 10 seconds to assign his probes to harvest, wtf is he doing?
-Protoss didn't wall off either
-Your spawning pool was a little slow, you got it at like ~260 minerals, should have got it at 200 to get it up faster
-Should have made 2nd queen at main while expo was at 60% and moved the one already made over, its faster and more efficient then training at the expo
-You never saturated your bases. There is no point to an expansion if your going to be getting the same income with all the drones at one base. You should have built about 15-20 more drones earlier and you would have been fine for the mid-late game
-You should have ran in with lings earlier, you scouted and saw what he hard or what you thought he had and even if you lost the lings you hit his econ HARD if anything, its almost always good to do this is they don't wall off
-You didn't use your expansions gas when you knew you were going a heavy gas build, why?
-Use your overlords more often and sooner, no reason you couldn't have one chillin like a blimp(:D) over his natural insted of a zerging, especially dropping creep to slow down his attempts at expanding till its gone.
Overall you opponent was terrible, he teched slow as hell, made barely enough workers, produced out of one gate for way too long, and lost what looked like a winnable battle because he told his units to move up his ramp instead of attack allowing you go kill majority of his army while keeping yours.
Thats my 2 cents on the replay. Hope that helps.

ultras seem a bit better now with this patch. Pretty hot buff for roaches, but if theres detection around, ya, useless.
I never use vikings. and people who hit me with vikings always died. so kinda useless nerf there i suppose
Patch 14 is now live.

Interesting changes. I am not sure how this will affect the game since I play Protoss mainly but from the looks of it the viking nerf and the Archon buff are nice.
EDIT: DAMN YOU!!!
Roaches upgrade is nice. No one was ever upgrading them, because it was just too much...now we might see some stealth with them. The rest doesnt matter much, ultralisk are still going to suck (I made 15 upgraded ultralisk the other day in a 2v2 we were dominating and couldn't even manage to do decent damages in the guy def)
I don't play much Zerg. What did the removed upgrades for the Ultra and Infestor do?
Battlecraft Armageddon is fuckin fun
The moving while burrowed mechanic is nearly useless as is, it needs some more perks like the ability to go through buildings and cliffs to give it more use.
i toyed around with it today, the roaches improved regen while burrowed, i took out a toss with 12 roaches, i lost 1, its was pretty funny, lol.
and i found out that phoenix's make people rage hard, hahaha, i had like 12 phoenix's just sniping shit all over the place. 3 weapon ups too make them pretty badass
