Did a double zerg 2v2 with a friend and found out mass marauders are just about unstoppable. Hydras counter it but with them being 50 gas and theirs 25 its a battle thats hard to win.

Also didn't help there there was a massive protoss ball moving with them.

Ultra's whole problem was they died before they could get in to do damage. With a huge speed upgrade they should finally be useful.

Maybe I'm crazy, but didn't they remove the speed boost upgrade to even it out. Save you 200/200 and 2min, but you will have the same issue as before.

Problem is how fast they dies to nearly all the units that are strong against armored (marauder, tanks, immortal) and do pretty terrible against static def (canon) or ground advantage (any range above a choke point will rape them). For a unit that cost as much as a battle cruiser that is only good against 1st tier units, it's nearly impossible to make use of them.

Also, have you tried muta? >_> It's good against ground only units. I'm not saying mass marauder is bad, but unless I'm behind the whole game, it's rarely an issue. The biggest issue against terran is mass siege tank. It's just impossible to approach.

Depend how many you have, where you fight them, and if there is medivac or not. Mass marauder can be really hard to approach even with speedling

I can deal with the no cross realm, but the lack of a chatroom feels kind of gay. Its like, you're alone with 30,000 other people. I mean really? why? I made a good amount of friends, and I got a lot better by meeting people in chatrooms back in my SC1 days. Its like, they don't want any sense of community. I blame activision

Don't even need chat rooms, people bitching about no chat rooms obviously are having trouble appreciating all the features of battle.net which make them useless.

Not being able to play outside regions is a bit of a bummer but I'll get over it. The only people who should really be complaining are Australians, they have to play with SEA people. They speak English, most SEA don't. Imagine how much that is going to suck and be grateful you don't have to deal with it.

Chat rooms are overrated. If you want to discuss strategy or dissect replays then create a party chat. If you want to meet people use the forums or create a clan.

I played a lot of BW and WC3 and I can't remember ever actually using a chat room. I pretty much exclusively set things up outside of the game if I wanted to play with friends. Seemed like chat rooms were just filled with spam anyway and you had to create a private room anyway if you wanted to have a coherent conversation, which is basically just like making a party chat in SC2. most of the people bitching about chat rooms are probably the same people bitching about balance, and MBS, and worker splits not making a difference, and anything else they can find. Complainers are going to complain no matter what, especially in a Beta.

I doubt their will be a crack... I don't think it'll be as simple as just changing the IP of the b.net server you connect to, it sounds like the serial key itself is tied to a specific region.

chatrooms made playing BW 50x better. i met alot of people through clans, learned how to make alot of maps and got help with triggers and such. not to mention bot spamming your rival clan's channel. awesomely fun

The sheer amount of bitching on the official forums, and even the TeamLiquid Forums (TL is to Starcraft/2 as BG is to FFXI) is fucking ridiculous. I don't rage when I lose a game. I don't rage when I disconnect during an epic game, even if I'm clearly about to win. I don't rage about Patch changes, and I don't rage about Battlenet2.0, but the raging I do when I try to sift through all of the useless, mindless, idiotic bitching on those forums more than makes up for the lack thereof in all other areas...

These are some of the stupidest fucking people that I've ever seen on the Internet, and that's obviously saying a lot. It makes WoW trade chat look sophisticated by comparison...

I'm sure there will be a way to 'create' a chat group or something and just invite whoever to it. Public chat rooms are like the least efficient way to do it, and crying 'we need public chatz' is so idiotic I can't even begin to describe. It's an archaic way of organizing chat and adding it would be like taking a few steps back. Everything shouldn't be modeled after a bare bones irc.

How do you rank up now (around what rating/ratio)? I'm on top of my 2v2 platinum league, and close to the top in 1v1, but it doesnt seem to do anything.
