Just beat the game, wasnt too bad. I liked zeratul sequence and the ending. The rest had some fine part, but I feel like not much happened. .

Was there anything after the credit, I accidently pressed escape and skipped it.

Also, is there any list of every feat of strength you get during the single players. I got one in the map with lava that rise (wasnt hard or anything), and thats it.

Far right building, have to force fire with thors. Red with two flags next to it, and a couple of statues.

Can just "a+ left click" it like any friendly unit.

Depends on who you play. I went 4-1 as well, 1st was a guys first game and i stomped him. 2ed was silver, 3rd was gold, 4th was plat and i out maneuvered him, and the 5th got a kinda cheap win b/c of my negligence but was against a crystal. If your last game was the loss you were probably playing a crystal.

How do people not get placement yet?

You can go 5-0 and get put in silver and 1-4 and get into plat. It depends on the rating of the opponents you win/lose against ( true rating not division score ).

eg you beat 5 people who were 700 rating ( assuming 1000 is start ) you get virtually no points gain and get put in silver. You beat 1 diamond player and lose to 4 diamond players and you got more rating than going 5-0 against scrubs and you get put into plat.

It's not motherflippin rocket science.

I like watching high tier players play. I got comfortable with zerg after watching idra go 14 pool 16 hatch a while; started doing barracks at ~9 like qxc did one game and it helps me a lot get a handle on everything else. Granted, this is also my first RTS and I've only played a couple games on the cracked beta against A.I.

Teamliquid.net is a great place to start. They have a strategy forums, as well as a list of streams currently showing SC2. Also check out the Day[9] Daily thread on the SC2 general forums there and watch his archived video's.

What you just said applies to any franchised sequel.

If you don't feel adequately challenged by Starcraft's mechanics, there are much more difficult and deeper strategy games out there.

If you're bored of an RTS game, then why buy it, go watch the LP videos and save yourself $60 + $40 + $40.

Stuck how? I mopped up half that map with Mercenaries/Medics and could wait to liftoff at the last second every time. It's only hard on Brutal :D

Were mercenaries actually good? I completely ignored them the whole game.

Also is it just me or are the two protoss challenges way harder than the rest of them. I have all gold, except for those two and I found every other one a cakewalk, while the toss ones have been giving me headaches. What's worse is toss is my main race lol, I'm thinking maybe it's time for a switch.

I'm sure it was more then just 2 marines, they are just showing of Tychus and Raynor.

on the last level, what did you guys do, take out the Nydus Worms or the air support? I find it god damn impossible on Brutal to take out the nydus networks and defend that relic, cause its just bullcrap none stop attacking, lol

You MUST take the psi disruptor, the MC tower is pretty worthless. A squad of 5-6 banshees (less if you upgrade) is plenty to take out nydus worms before they can spawn too much shit.

Also the 'choke points' given to you at the start of the mission are terrible, it's much easier to abandon that shit and wall in much tighter to the rest of your base. The game A.I. isn't very smart and will just run headlong at a cluster of bunkers built up against the plateau. Line the top of your base with siege tanks and keep a marine or two around as kerriganbait.

man, i'm not sure how tough brutal is but hard mode with no upgrades while also going for achievements is getting a bit frustrating
