What does that mean exactly? That Beta was suppose to last 3-5 months and currently it is in the 3rd month? And that they are targetting release of the full game in the first half of the year?
It means based on the progress of development and beta feedback received so far, they're targetting the 3-month window for the beta. "We're at" = "We are currently projecting"
They have four full months to live up to the first half of 2010 promise, plenty of time for their 3-5 month target and it seems they'd think something would have to go really wrong for the beta to stretch past that.
CONFIRMED the ai works!!! :D enjoy people
Oh sex. Installing now.
Oh man, I wasn't expecting much but this AI is hilariously bad. At least I can see how the units attack, I guess.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
now the question is how long it'll take Blizz to fix this and whether I should make sure to be offline every time to avoid the patch
Shuvo I just tried sending your post to a friend to DL, and he informed me the beta client and lazy loader links are dead. I found him another beta client link, but when I went to just flat out send him the lazyloader .exe, AVG picked it up as a trojan. Is this a false positive? I had DL'ed the one you linked Shuvo, just wanted to see if anyone else had come across the same problem, as I couldn't find any mention of it in a quick google search.
EDIT: Ignore the above, serves me for not checking the links actually on BG, and thanks for the info on the lazyloader Shuvo.
The links are not dead. You can't copy paste it because BG automatically shortens the URL, so you have to click it then copy from the address bar. But I just updated the post so that it uses [code ] instead of [url ], you can copy paste it now.
Yeah the lazyloader will always come up as a virus as it uses VMProtect on it to make it harder to reverse engineer. Don't worry bout it, just use the links I provided as those were posted by the crackers
Heh, I played a round last night, got assigned as zerg (probably my weakest race from 1) and got rolled by the PC terrans. Though, I was probably focusing too heavily on econ over actual offense.
So I downloaded and have everything but I had a few questions.
Where should the maps ago?
And when I try to run LazyLaunch it gives me this message:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
Map can be anywhere, I guess. You use lazylaunch to open the map itself and it just cuts to the game.
You have to put lazylaunch in the same folder as the SC2 executable, which by default is in the Starcraft II Beta folder upon installation. When you launch lazylaunch, it opens a browser for what map you'd like to use, thus the maps can be anywhere.
Just played my first game with the crack, I really like the burrow while moving mechanic for some units, makes burrow a whole lot better. I need to try out more of the new units though.
Link went down for the AIwaiting for V4 myself.
Lazylaunch loads the window for me, but then immediately crashes. I see the SC2 custom cursor, but that's it.
I'm not as tech-savvy as I'd like; any ideas about what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks a lot Meian!!
np I hope it is up to date though. I have all the other files from Shuvo's links just got a different Lazylaunch. Augh, one more week for spring break must keep focused and play this as... moderately... as possible...
I am a bit disappointed they took out so much for Battlecrusier than before beta started like those streams of little aoe lasers and the defense matrix choice vs yamato. I do love how they shoot now though.
Man, I was just barely mediocre in sc1 (the only game I am this bad at for some reason) now my entire Terran strategy is different now... wonder what is the best way to go with Terran currently
