I don't see any rape. No one else died and there's only two mobs in the screenshot, a hecteyes and a NM, the hecteyes is being attacked by melee aswell.

Edit: NM was probably being nuked to avoid charm, so sleeping would have been pointless anyway.

The same can be said of 50% of BG posters, main difference is that I'm both a better player and more perceptive than most of them so I realize more of these things. You can say forum posts don't say much of a player's skill, but I'll go with the contrary. FFXI is an extremely simple game, if you aren't in a leadership position you're repeating simple tasks in a specific manner that has already been outlined for you(hopefully, unless your leader sucks). Anyone can be good in that sense, none of the jobs are hard to play. To stick out above the rest you need to invent new strategies, regardless of whether they're solo/lowman/massivealliancezerg, or in some other way show your value. If someone hasn't created at least one decent-scale strategy that changed how other people do something, I don't feel they're anything above average.

You can manage a proper buff cycle while main healing a party on RDM? Congrats, so can a 12 year old with proper instruction.

You can hold hate on PLD by spamming flash and atonement while managing shadows? Congrats, so can a 12 year old with proper instruction.

You can solo Zipacna, Faust, Seiryu(with luck), etc on your double refresh 340+ enfeeb skill RDM? Congrats, so can a 12 year old with proper instruction.

For something to have merit, it needs to be new in some way. How are these new things recognized? Forum posts.

Good players don't post idiotic things because, well, they know better? A good player is not going to argue that you should bring a Scholar over a Red Mage to salvage, for example, because it's very clear that the benefits of RDM outweigh those of SCH.

All you said was that you know good people who don't come here.. how have they proven themselves to be good? Doing trivial tasks that a 12 year old could replicate with several minutes of instruction? New strategies will always be created, if they don't want to take credit for their strats that's their problem, but it's not going to get them recognized as good either.
