For me, not breaking laws is just a social lubricant, it's easier to get by that way, but I don't do it because I think they have any validity supplied by an outside body.
Those which are sensible, are sensible regardless of the agency or government enforcing them, those which are not, are simply things I avoid violating in order to keep from being disturbed.
The times when I have violated them, and was actually caught (far fewer than the times I was chased, one time out of many incidents of vanishing over a fence and into the night), I did not accept that the situation was a correct one, the month in jail was not an appropriate punishment, and the only thing it taught me was that those in power are assholes to be avoided, not to respect them.
Incidentally, it was something to do with faking a registration tag that had expired during a period when I was unable to fully afford getting the car legal to be registered, yet required transportation to even begin trying to get it registered. Not a sensible law to be punished for, so I ignored it, eventually a bench warrant was issued, and I was finally caught when my bitch-cunt-whore of a psycho sister told some cops I was inside with a warrant because she was mad at me.
