I don't understand the need to label people. It's 2 people who got into an argument, race doesn't have to do with anything. In most social contexts, you shouldn't/don't need to refer to them by their race. I don't introduce people as "this is my black friend" or "This is my Asian Co-worker." It's not even necessary. I dunno, I was never a fan of African-American/Black as a title. As far as I'm concerned, they are "that guy" or "<name>" to me.
