Outbreak wasn't a bad game. I don't remember, could you use voice chat in it? I want to say no during the game but in the lobby, but it's been too long. I think it'd be neat to go back with 4 people and play it now, I still have never beaten the last scenario at the college.
No you couldn't use voice chat during the game, you could only use the preset voice options to communicate. I know you could type to each other in the lobby but I don't remember if there was voice chat there. If it was the number of people using it was very limited and they sounded too awful to understand.
I think the biggest problem I had with the game was that it was set up to be a time trial. It was fun the first few times but then everyone just wanted to do speed runs to get a high ranking.
EU version had no online mode, so I never got to try it out with other people. I enjoyed what I played of the offline mode. It was a good game but I felt a lot needed to be changed, and could have been added to it, to have made it a great game.
Just played Desperate Escape:
As most of you know, it's Jill + Josh. Where as Lost in Nightmares was very RE1, Desperate Escape is very RE5. Lots of enemies, lots of ammo, more guns. Took me around 40 minutes to finish the first time on Normal mode, playing with the AI. I could see this being moderatly difficult on Professional. Pretty fun if you like shooting crap up, really no ammo worries, enjoyed it quiet a bit.
With Desperate Escape comes Rebecca and Josh unlocks for Mercenaries Reunions. Rebecca is kind of a beast with her melee flame thing. Her setup is an SMG, with two full ammo clips, and the Striker shotgun with 2 full shotgun clips, and 2 First Aids. Really quiet powerful, and fun to play.
Also payed for the extra chars for Mercs Reunion, Heavy Metal Chris and Business Suit Jill. Chris has the big unlimited ammo thing from the game, some grenades and the stun gun, Business Sheva is Handgun + Magnum (desert eagle I believe).
Overall, for 400MS points for DE+Rebcca and Josh = worth it to me, ditto for 160MS points for the other two characters. Of course, i'm biased since I really enjoyed RE5 period.
Desperate Escape was released stateside?
Desperate Escape came out today on Live, tomorrow on PSN.
I believe if you buy RE5: Gold Edition, it's all on the disc for PS3, but a download code for 360 (not enough room on disc maybe?)
Ah awesome. I'll have to download it when I get home tomorrow. Can't go wrong with some Battle Suit Jill. I need someone to fuck around with me in Merc Reunion.
So finally got around to doing the Lost in Nightmares DLC and I have to say... what a letdown. I wasn't expecting anything long, but fighting only 1 guy....5-10 times was pretty boring. I expect a little more then just this, I mean I wouldn't mind a series reboot with the mansion, I loved old RE1/2 with the zombies/virus more then the las plagas stuff. I liked the tension in the DLC but I was craving a little more.
