Diagnostics is similar to Forensics except a bit more obvious. You still need a sharp eye for visual examinations, and scans need a tad bit of memory. Other than that it seems pretty straight forward compared to Forensics.

Also I can't tell if the doctor for Diagnostics is a total jackass or just a witty jackass.

Also, it's a good idea to have something to write on to keep track of the medical terms for diagnostics.

Wow, I didn't even realize this came out. I loved Trauma Center UtK for DS and SO for the Wii. I got remember being really excited for New Blood and UtK2, and got them the days they came out. I never bothered to finish them due to losing interest.

I'll prolly wait a few mos and get this after the inevitable price drop.

Well my worst fear was realized.

6 different specialties = short amount of levels for each doctor. Diagnostics has only about 4 levels. There is a locked mission on my screen now that says I need to complete the other doctor's levels for the "final" path.

Was my problem... is there an X mode where stuff gets harder? I do want to pull my hair out in this game (but not in a skin grafting kind of way lol)

Haven't seen anything yet. I've been doing Diagnostics and Forensics lately which have no difficulty since they're point/click type of missions.

There is 2 difficulties in the game for the surgical missions (Surgery, Orthopedics, First Response, and Endoscopy) however I have yet to try the game on Intern (the hardest difficulty).

I haven't gotten my copy of the game yet, but I read in a review that the "final path" is more like the second half of the game and involves all of the doctors together, so there's a lot more stuff ahead.

Sounds about right. Right now I'm on the 3rd forensics mission. These take roughly an hour or more to beat.

Done with Forensics and holy shit talk about a dark ending.

Going to try old school and see how surgery is on Hard Mode now.

EDIT: Okay didn't beat, however the climax is still pretty dark.

EDIT2: Okay now I beat it, it does leave a very huge foreshadowing for events that happen if you complete everyone's paths. I won't spoil it though.

Okay will post one more time after beating everyone's chapters.

    Spoiler: show
While this game doesn't have GULIT, Stigma, or Neo-Guilt, it seems to have some kind of made up disease. It seems to be linked to the terrorist attack the surgeon was believed to be responsible for

Other than that guess I'll give a tad more breifing on the other 4 specialties.

Surgery stays pretty much the same like it did in the previous games, the only real differences I've noticed are some folds need to be folded twice before you can use the sutures on it.

First Response is nerve racking. Besides having to keep up to 5 people alive at once you can pretty much kill someone trying to reposition a broken arm/leg. When you get close to where you're supposed to set it vitals drop like a rock and can kill the patient within a matter of seconds.

Endoscopy is pretty interesting, the controls can be a bit hard to get used to though.

Orthopedics is pretty accurate from the description. The key is to keep a steady hand. Only real advice I can give is this uses chains for points (or something like that, haven't paid much attention to it quite yet) and if you make a mistake or stop before you're finished with whatever your current step is it will break the chain. Also the saw is a pain up the ass to control.

Will post one last time since I beat it.

After beating it you do unlock an award system and also the hardest difficulty. I haven't got to try it yet however someone said it's almost like X Mission difficulty.

Overall the game is pretty fun of the Trauma Center series. The story was pretty good and felt pretty intense compared to the others.

If anyone is playing it and stuck at something I can help you out if you need it.

Sweet! I started playing, I've only done the first two diagnostics missions. It is super fun, I like that they went with comic-style cutscenes instead of the more static 2 heads on a background like in New Blood.
