Well, if AF3 had TH+1 on it, as well as another +1 trait, at that point it's be native traitx3 + Thief Knife for TH4, and yeah, you should be shunned!

Maybe you could upgrade your thf's knife with the trial of the magians thing. I think it MAY be the upgrading solution we've all been waiting for, especially if it works on already augmented items.
