My bad, when you do the math precisely you find that WT is much better actually.
I'll just assume rajas+usu feet during ws so STP+ 12 during asuran.. And full usu with or without white tathlum.
TP return on asuran will therefore be 5.4 on first 2 hits and 1.1 for additional hits. For each possible value of asuranfists TP return (x) , you can find the minimum number of hits required to reach 100+ TPs which is n=ceil( (100-x)/ tp) where tp is your base TP during melee hit. On average 0.5 hits are wasted due to multi attack per round, so make it n+0.5, then with 95% acc and 15% KA, 5% DA you average 2.25*0.95 attacks / round so the average number of round for an asuran fists' tp return is :
N= [ ceil( (100-x)/ tp)+0.5 ] / ( 2.25*0.95)
Now list possible values of x (around 20 possible values) with their probability to happen (easy to compute, I'll skip the explantion on this part :D ) and average the values of N. Spoiler'd
Without white tathlum
Spoiler: show
7.298 rounds average
With white tathlum
Spoiler: show
6.954 rounds average
without white tahlum : 1 ws every 7.298*351 delay
with white tathlum : 1 ws every 6.954*351 delay
ws frequency increase : (1/6.954*351) / (1 / (7.298*351))=7.298/6.954=1.049=+4.9% , while 4.9/4.8 only gives ~+2%.
So to go back to the comparison BT/WT :
BT : 60%*x melee 40% WS, where x is the bonus from attack
WT : 60% melee 40%*1.049 WS
so BT > WT only if (60*x+40)>(60+40*1.049) which gives x=1.032
In other word BT beats WT (with full usu) only when 1 attack boosts more than ... 0.8% = NEVER.
your numbers mean nothing to my epeen. black tathlum or bust.
You all take this shit way too seriously. You're arguing mathematical formulas and crap in an augments thread. Just post pictures/reports of augments you've gotten yourself or seen.
I got +5 Water on my Compound Eye Circlet on my low-level, solo-only Taru alternate. Combined with the +7 Earth / +9 Water on his Battle Gloves and +1 Fire / +2 Water on his Nomad's Mantle, his THF is getting a nice little Water build going!
not sure if this has been posted before but here you go

/balls
Best waist tp piece go! I'd be panicking the whole fight if that was mine.
Would have given my left nut for that have gotten -3 slow
Still the best belt for a drk zerg.
grats?

Pretty cool- fake sainti+1.
He also had +6 Acc +6 water resist on his Forager's and +16 HP -16 MP +4 DEX on the Ruby.
Not necessarily saying your math is wrong per se, but wouldn't other random factors push it more in favor of BT (IE stuff like getting hit, storing TP because the monster is almost dead, going over due to DAs, etc)?Originally Posted by Pchan
Same argument holds for attack/str/acc, double attack on the last hit are going to be wasted with or without WT. You can add all the attack you want, it doesn't always save you a hit (but only sometimes, rarely, a combinaison of pdif sequences will save you a hit). BT is nice when acc is uncapped or when what you trade it for is better than ~2% of WS damage. I can tell you that the acc on this is useless 95% of the time on monk, the exception being maybe birds outside focus. The 4 attack is probably useless 100% of the time (TP). Also remember that faith + virtue stone exist and rape almost anything else.
I'm currently planning on swapping to White tathlum and my augmented carapace gorget with attack 4 stp 2.
Was running through whitegate, saw this, and got very confused.

...Maybe they think kick attacks influences jump, since you land feet-first? /confused.
MNK Can't even use it Buttons![]()
Opsy my bad. ;_; Absolute fail augment then lol.
Oki go on and ignore this silly Taru's fuzzy thoughts. xD
