Nah, I'm pretty sure Dooom (and Ohai, actually) are right about this one. Media would be pretty fucking dead if all that was posted were the few pictures we get every few days. The discussion that stems from said pictures is better than what is found in advanced (which is usually geared more towards new findings rather than stuff we already know) and Media is always rockin' because of the potential drama/derailments/lulz. Even if you don't care or find the discussion interesting, pretty much everyone else does, so I'd say you're in the clear minority. Obviously really stupid/taken totally out of hand stuff is going to be cleaned up/moved/warned against but regular derailments? Normal and exciting.

They have to come in when discussions veer away from maths, strategies etc. and onto fail drama and linkshells raging at each other over purple mobs. Go through any thread in Media, and when have mods come in and said "cut this shit out"? It sure as hell hasn't been 'cos people have been doing maths, but 'cos they've been trolling the fuck out of each other and waging their petty wars rather than leaving the shit-talking in DA where it belongs.

Clearly media should adopt some new rules, stolen from another forum.
* Do not posts anything but *jpg
* The image size limit is 280*180
* No images greater than 25KB
* Do not alter the images in any way.
* No fun allowed
* Do not comment on someone's picture.
* No praise allowed
* Do not post anything but pictures
