It has less to do with defending it, and more to do with not being sucked into other peoples personal lives. People I don't even friggin' know. When I start having a morning coffee with Tiger and/or his wife everyday, then I'll start to give a damn.

Now, if his personal life started crossing into his competitive career. Then it'd be reasonable to have an interest. Because if you're a fan of the sport, now it effects you directly as a viewer... But this isn't one of those cases. He wasn't using steriods. He hasn't been cheating all these years somehow. He's been banging some chicks behind his wifes back. Not relevant information. The only reason this is now effecting his career as a golfer is because of "the peoples" moral outrage. An outrage that he should have just completely ignored in the first place.
