I shouldn't be able to enjoy an online game that I rent? That sure makes sense! As I said, I wanted to see how fun the game was (compared to MW2) before purchasing. Basically, I feel like last night was the game's first chance to impress me and so far, the lack of decent lobby/matchmaking has left me unimpressed.

SP is still fully enjoyable via renting, and there was a demo out that you could have tried out the MP with for free. Just sayin'

I actually did play the demo here and there, got a good feel of the gameplay... although COD has gotten me hooked on unlockables and customization so I was looking forward to trying out the leveling/unlock system with this game.

Friend who bought it yesterday for xbox said people were camping a lot like when MW2 first came out which was a big surprise to me since this was never an issue in the demo or BC1.

Uh, camping has been an issue with BC1 and the demo. Dunno, but camping is the whole mantra of the BF series. Especially in game modes like rush, or in 3 point conquest.

This EA master server bs is just that, bullshit. I can't add servers to my favorites, any query takes at least a full minute, and 3/4 of the servers kick me off as soon as I connect.

Really? I guess every sniper I've seen play or whenever I'm sniper I camp but I'm never in behind a sandbag wall with only the top of my hair being visible mowing people down like I would in MW2.

I dunno, I guess it's different but my friend talked about never seeing anybody running around and only in corners of houses/etc.

Yeah, you're supposed to either be doing 1 of two things. Camping on MCOM stations, or spawn camping an enemy base in conquest.

I never played any of these Battlefield games. I would like to try this one. What parts are similar to MW2, what parts are better/worse in your opinion?

Bonus Points if this game has none of the following:

Heart Beat Sensors and/or Thermal Scopes
Knife fags (Specifically Lightweight/Marathon)

I also hate the fact there is really no sense of teamwork in the MW2 Community. Everything is so heavily kill based much of the matches objectives are ignored in exchange for just raping the other team kill wise.

I'm going to say that you're pretty much wrong. You're going to be either fighting over B on conquest, or taking a shit in the enemy base. MCOM stations? Yeah, you're camping on them as Defense, because you can't shit all over them in their spawn.

No, you can't. There's no reason for you to not have a fire line and holding down the fort in Rush, or not attempting to base rape someone in conquest.

Can you check other people's K/D ratios and stuff? That is a huge bitch for me because I played to keep it high instead of to have fun.

And yeah Thunder, you can. There's a global leaderboard. K/D Ratio isn't as important here though, because of the maps with choppers/etc. Especially in rush mode, it's all about vehicle tactics and you're going to die far more often on these maps. What you want to check instead with someones Soldier info is their ELO rating. You can google it if you don't know what it is, it's similar to matchmaking rating in WoW arena if you're familiar.

You have two fucking options. 1) Camp on a point/mcom station 2) Baserape. Seriously? Did you not play BF2? BF2142? Ever play Fall of Berlin on 2142? Strike at Karkland BF2? Fucking Acta Non Verba on Conquest? Over and Out on Rush? Seriously. Hey, lets play white pass on conquest as Russians. Grab BMD, 2 engineers, and two people to shoot. Base rape US spawn. Repeat as US ad nauseum.

If someone wanted to play the single player but didn't want to or have the means to play multiplayer they would rent it for a few days
