Iphone vs. DROID

"Inferior" as in? Megapixels aren't important at all on p&s's and cellphones as long as its above the shit level (2 MP). iPhone has a far better auto-focus, which is much better and important than lolmegapixel.

This megapixel fad is getting annyoing, back in early 00's they used MP's to market cameras and now every singe stupid customer out there thinks "hey, it has high MP it must be better!"

Also, droid is a CDMA phone, so its literally useless overseas. Its pretty pathetic not being able to use a smartphone abroad. If you travel or plan to is a dealbreaker here.

Media capabilities is another thing you should keep in consideration. Overall, iPhone is a much better media player and has a significanlty higher sound quality.

Finally, iPhone's touch screen capabilities are better than droid's. It completely supports multi touch, and it does it pretty well.

If I really wanted a touch screen smartphone(I won't, I hate them) I'd go with an iPhone. If not, Blackberry 9700 is better than anything else on the market.

Also, there is Nokia N900 but Maemo 5 is still on babysteps in terms of apps.

One thing I'll give the Iphone over the droid is the Media player.

How many apps do each have? I'm guessing there are more free apps for the iphone than there are for the droid just because of the sheer volume.

100,000 apps seems like a cool number but 95% of those apps are garbage and/or essentially duplicates.

I had a huge issue with sound quality when I originally had a iphone 3g when they were released....... I then switched over to a android phone (HTC Hero), and now back again to a iphone 3gs. Either the hero sound quality was even worse than the 3g, or the 3gs has improved sound quality over the original iphones, but otherwise the latest iphone sound quality is good

Since this is a thread which has alot of droid users in it, has anyone else have had the issue of getting all their text messages deleted and if so..... know of a fix for it?

My friend has had her text messages deleted 3-4 times now, and everytime she calls verizon to see about it a fix they just keep telling her to come in to factory restore the phone. Which, I take as.......... we have no idea on our end what is happening.

I wonder if Google will have ironed out their customer service issues by then. Also, wonder if Verizon will do the same deal with a required plan for a subsidized Nexus One. I work for T-Mobile, and every freaking day customers came in complaining about how they couldn't get a discount because they had family plan, and how they had to pay $100 more than new customers.

Phone is worth it though. To be honest, it's the first Android Phone I feel is as smooth as an Iphone.

Sauce! And do you mean the next patch for Android 2.1? Cause 2.1 is Eclair and it uses the same shitty media player.
