Beta Registration Question

From what I've gathered, you sign up for the beta, then you can go to SE's site and link your SE ID with your POL ID if you so desire (I'm assuming this is how they see who had/is played/playing ffxi currently for when they are selecting beta people

i only just realized today i never linked my old POL account to my SE account (i made it the day those beta signups started back in december).

I'm trying to reset my password to my SE ID but it isn't working. It says the password change was successful but the log in continuously fails. Anybody else having that issue?

where do you go on se's homepage to do that?

You log in, verify youf POL ID is registered under "Confirm Membership Status" > "Registered" > "All Services"

log in with your beta ID and go to link on the left bottom, your POL id goes there.
edit: idk if this actually helps your chances or not though, I did it anyway.

But below it says:

When i try to access the dev site i get an error that says that the service account in question is not registered. Do i have to wait till the 7 to be able to log in or is there something else i need to do before im able to log in?

I just tried applying to the site and not only does it log me in... it treats me like I never registered before. I don't get that "This SEID has already been registered" error.

Yeah I changed my password and everything, said I successfully made a new one. Entered it in and it wouldn't accept it. I'm beginning to really hate that site. lol

It is quite self-explanatory. You wait 'till June 7, then the site will become available for you to log in.

Kind of side tracking here but when first registering for beta do we get a confirmation email saying beta registration accepted or anything?

No, you won't receive an email after original submission. If you are not sure it went through, just do it again and it will overwrite the old one.

As Hyan said this seems to be correct.

I got a similar mail that said June 2, and I got the same error as you until about 1pm GMT today (June 2), after which I can log on normally to the site.

EDIT: Also the ID I used had no POLID linked to it, however I am pretty sure I got an option during beta registration to input my POL ID (which is an american account, the ID I used is EU)

This isn't the case for me; when I try again it says I can't because I already sent one.

I've heard of this happening, though I am not sure the reason. I know I personally resubmitted my application to fix something I knew I had in it that was incorrect.

um, this may be a dumb question, do i have to have a pol account active to be considered for the beta? i just have a square enix account, but no pol atm, i never bothered putting it on my new computer
