This might be patronizing, but make sure you're trying to log in with the same account that's tied to the email. Click "Forgot Password" and give them the email address they sent your beta stuff to; they send you a reset link, and you can answer your security question to get into the account management site and retrieve your SEID there.
My email said June 2 as well, and I got in around 1730 PDT yesterday just fine. Good luck with downloading the client.
Tried the forgot password thing just in case, and I can see that the SEID I'm trying to log in with is attached to my e-mail... I went into 'Confirm Membership Status' and there's still nothing about the beta showing up. :/
Seeing as how people are saying customer service is useless, I'm not sure what to do from here, lol.
Make sure your using your SE account and not your SE member account (the one people made for the PS3 FFXIII thing).
Also, try logging in with a variety of browsers. It seems some are incompatible with the test site. I thought SE had fixed it but someone in the other thread had the same problem as you and managed to get on using Mozilla when Chrome and IE8 didn't work.
Gah... I can't remember my SE ID, and my email isn't working for it either. I was able to change the password (eventually, though I had to play around with security questions and then try to remember the CASE SENSITIVE answer), but what kind of retarded login system doesn't give you easy access to your own damn user name.

is it possible to download the NA client using an EU SE account?
You could download it without any account if you had the link, could even update it too. But i'm not sure if you'd be able to log in after installing and updating.
