Actually, folks who know how to read properly look for the subject of a pronoun within the sentence the pronoun exists in. The conclusion is as you said, we'd be talking about spoiler tags but...
In the spam rules thread there is nothing that states when spoiler tags should be used or that they even should be used at all, only not to abuse them.
