@Ratatapa: Are you anywhere near downtown Montreal? If so, you should buy from the EBgames at McGill Metro, in Les Ailes de La Mode. From all the game stores in Montreal, they seem the best (I say best cuz they're all basically the same, but that store has good Clerks who actually know wtf they are talking about, so if i'm giving my money to a games store, it's them)

You're better off just getting a slim or whatever version you can find, and buying a PS2 off of ebay for like $40-50 to play your old games. From what I've heard, the "backwards-compatible" PS3s don't even work with all games, and sellers charge and arm and a leg for them.

Only extra hardware with the PS3 logo on it that people should want is the official bluetooth headset because it works great. (Excluding extra DS3's of course) And possibly the PS3 Eye. Everything else like bluetooth keyboards and mice can be bought third party and will work fine, if you even need those.

I was able to get the headset for $15 off a few weeks ago and just bought the console today... I dont need another controller yet I dont think, will wait and see if I can find a good deal on it maybe.

Well if there is such a big demand for PS3's I may buy a few at the local stores and sell them. We seem to be running a surplus of Ps3's in my area, with some stores actually offering discounts (first time I've ever seen a discount on a PS3)
