Wow, I had no idea there was such a high demand for these right now. I can understand tax season causing a bit of a boom and all, but I didn't think to this magnitude. I remember getting my slim the first day they were available without a pre-order, and the GS I went to was overrun with units. Tons of change in 5 months I guess.
They have PS3s at like, literally every game store and wal-mart in my city. When I first heard about the PS3 drought I really, really didn't believe it. There is, however, a bit of a run on used ones though, but I guess the new ones haven't been selling like that.
The've been selling like mad everywhere, since last September.
Its out everywhere here in southwest Mass too. We get 3-6 every week or so and they dont last but 1 or 2 days![]()
I won a ps3 from my local radio station (as well as a psp and mlb10 the show) but I already have a ps3! I have not been told if it is a 120gig or a 250gig (or one of the older, fat models) but when I know, I will update this message and if someone is interested in buying it, they can PM me. I know I don't have a presence on these boards, so if you would be more comfortable going through ebay and paypal for protection, that can be arranged.
Dunno why but here in St. Louis you can go to ANY gamestop/bestbuy/walmart whatever and they all got a big pile of ps3's.
I had to drive 45 minutes to get an 80gb used PS3 from a gamestop. Everywhere else was completely sold out. I had no idea they were getting this popular.
dell still has fat 160gigs for 412 for one bundle, 450 for another
no slims though
I basically live in the middle of nowhere but there is far from a shortage of slims round me. In a recession hit area like mine people aren't buying items like PS3s

For the record, newegg just got some 250's in i already ordered mine, get them quick if you want one!
Just took care of the rest of my preorders. all my future ps3s are now up for grabs. 120s, and 250s alike. Expecting them to trickle in now
yea, sony is putting them out at the same rate they always have. its just tax return season and we never fully recovered from xmas either
Yeah I wanted 60gbs because they have the best backwards compatibility, and I had to find them both on ebay - spent like $900 total, but I've yet to come across a ps2 game I own that hasn't been compatible. I've had a few game lock-ups, but other than that it's been fine.
If you're worried about warranty then yeah get the newer one, I'll cry if I have to replace mine, because I'll have to go back to hunting for a new 60gb T_T
im sorry but i still cant understand why people cant just buy a new ps3+new ps2 for less than a 60gig <_<
