Ginn may not have been much of a receiver but we really needed a return man badly, so the trade is alright I guess. If he can learn not to drop it like its hot the trade could end up being pretty good, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

Agreed. If Ginn can return kicks and punts effectively and open the field more as a #3 WR, it was worth the fifth round pick. I hope this puts the 49ers drafting Spiller guys to rest. Have way more pressing issues to address such as the OL and secondary.

Ginn will probably be decent behind Crabtree and Morgan. 5th round pick isn't bad for the guy. I mean hell it wasn't like his 2nd year was atrocious. He had over 700 yards. He was just never going to live up to the expectations of a 9th pick in Miami, it was best for him to get out of a bad situation. I sort of feel bad for Ginn, I think Cameron did him a disservice. He has little to no expectations in San Fran. I think the trade will work out.

Would have been nice if we could have taken a stab at Ginn. Our special teams was "special," last year and we need some serious help at WR.

Here's hoping they pluck a WR with their first pick Thursday. Maybe Tate will still be around @ 48. It's always a possibility they'll trade to move up as well since we did so in consecutive years to get Beason, Stewart, and Otah. Be nice to hang on to that first rounder for next year though considering this season is pretty much a wash.
