Well I'd agree as an Auburn guy, but I'm looking at it from an objective standpoint that he was a pretty good NT for 1st and 2nd down.

Then again, you do have a point.

If Okung is on the board and the Skins don't take him, they are completely fucking retarded.

I figured the Bucs would take him, but if he is there, they better.

I think the Bucs are the team most likely to take a DT. The Lions may take Okung, but I think there's a very good chance he'll be there at #4.

If the skins don't get Okung the Saints will try to trade Left tackle Jamal Brown for Haynesworth. If the skins land Okung then they won't trade Haynesworth unless someone gives up the whole farm for him.

They have been in talks about Haynesworth before the redskins had to pay the 21M bonus but the Saints declined at the time.

^This. The Chiefs were starting a shitty Mike Brown last season and now he's a FA. Safety is a huge need.

I'm really scared as a Bucs fan as far as drafting a DT goes. They bust so damn often, just seems like Eric Berry would be a far safer pick. Berry and Tanard Jackson would be a fucking sick duo at safety and they could really use someone like Berry to help at corner too. Idk, guess heres to hoping Suh or McCoy are exceptions to the norm of top 10 DTs being busts.

For what it's worth, Chiefs beat writer Kent Babb says that the team will select Bryan Bulaga with this pick. This coincides with a Peter King report that notes the Chiefs are unlikely to take Eric Berry at No. 5.

The report basically cited a conversation Thomas Dimitroff and Scott Pioli had at the owners' meeting. Pioli reminded Dimitroff that he doesn't like taking safeties early. And neither does anyone else - aside from Sean Taylor, no safety has been picked in the top five since Eric Turner back in 1991. For more on why teams clearly don't like drafting safeties early: Are Safeties Worth a Top Five NFL Draft Pick?

At any rate, Russell Okung is the obvious choice if he's available. There's no doubt about that. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, Okung is now the favorite to go No. 4 overall, which makes things a bit more complicated.

Kansas City fans will talk about Berry and Rolando McClain as options. But if we've learned one thing about Scott Pioli, it's that he puts a huge emphasis on positional value. We saw this last year when he drafted a mid first-round prospect in Tyson Jackson over Aaron Curry.

Bulaga is basically in the same range as Jackson was last year (9-14), which means that he's a likely candidate for the Chiefs.

Bulaga also fills a huge need. Branden Albert improved over the season, but he's not a franchise left tackle. Pioli invested $63 million into the noodle-armed Matt Cassel. He can't afford to have Cassel sacked 42 times again next year. If Albert's finish was a fluke, he's putting his big investment in jeopardy.

Fortunately, Pioli, who is a big believer in positional value, can take Bulaga without sacrificing too much of his team's payroll into the left tackle position. Albert will make less than $1 million in each of the next two seasons, and was a guard at Virginia anyway.

He’s our left tackle and he does a good job for us. And he improved a lot last year. Obviously, before I got here I watched all the tape from his rookie season and watched everything from last year and there was truly progression over the course of the season.”

Q: When he mentioned something to you about S Eric Berry at the number five pick, Peter King quoted you as saying…

PIOLI: “No, Peter King quoted Thomas Dimitroff.”
Babb is a total fucking moron, btw.

Peter King thinks it won't be Berry because the value would suck at 5. Couldn't be any worse than drafting Bulaga to play RT.

Not saying no way they won't take Bulaga. He did take Tyson Jackson a year ago, but it's not a lock or anywhere near one.

tru.dat. I'd just like to see a WR with a good skill set get on board. We lost Moose this year and Jarrett still hasn't done dick. Though he did look a bit better with Moore at the helm, so we'll see.

I hope Miami keeps Ronnie. I love that guy. He runs so hard and finishes like a boss. It's a shame he runs so hard he blows a knee every fucking year, just like his buddy Cadillac.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles have dealt this year's fifth-round pick to Denver, which is sending tight end Tony Scheffler to the Detroit Lions, who will trade linebacker Ernie Sims to Philly.
Wow what the fuck? Why would the Lions get rid of arguably their best defender (and young too) for another TE? They already have Pettigrew. Sure having two TEs is nice and all, but no way that is equal value.

The Eagles made out like fucking bandits, premier LB for a freaking 5th round pick. I am really struggling to accept some of these trades this off season, such inequality. And more importantly, why hasn't my team been involved in any of these >_<
