Pretty much, if that's how it went down then I don't think it's all that bad, however if he just was like "Do you think your hands are good" blah blah then BAM "Is your mother a prostitute?" that's fucked up imo, but the way presented in the article doesn't seem distasteful very much.

I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle. There was probably some context to trigger the question, but if Ireland himself said it wasn't in good taste, it probably wasn't.

Either way, overblown story is overblown.

Better PR would've been Ireland saying in the apology that he understands how the question could come off as offensive; however, considering where the interview went, he felt at the time it was prudent to ask if his mother was a prostitute. Then he can say, looking back on it, it probably wasn't a necessary question to ask despite the direction of the interview.

That gives both good PR and covers his ass. Not only that, Dez looks like a bit of a drama-queen in that case.

Now i'm gonna sound homer, but it doesn't sound like he's being a Drama queen at all in this case, though I know you're talking about a different situation. Figured I'd say it before it came up. Cryton is being a drama queen though. Not going to voluntary OTAs because he wants to be traded. Then all we'd need is Roy to be gone after yet another subpar season and roll with hurd, Miles Dez and ogletree.
