Silly Leroy - looks don't matter. What matters is that she was being sold by a licensed prostitute vendor, so any clients are protected from statutory violations. Reasonable to assume that she was legal given the trade, etc.

Are we referencing the comment I made that Ben couldn't be prosecuted for distributing to minors since she was in a bar? I was right and I was wrong. I was right, because in a 21 and over bar he'd have that right (reasonable expectations)...I was wrong by the fact that the bar the incident happened in was allowing people under 21 to enter (bracelet bar). I said Ben was innocent at first because there was next to no information. After I had read the police report and the further details, if you recall, I said I'd suspend him for a very long time. Forgive me for reserving my judgment until I gather pertinent information.

Actually, something like that. Florida law states that it must be proven beyond doubt that the alcohol is what resulted in the loss of life. Fact is, the guy illegally crossed and stepped in front of Stallworth in the early morning hours. It would have been next to impossible to prove that alcohol is what caused the accident. I can't see a situation where he would have been found guilty had he gone to court. I think he settled out for 2 reasons, first being to avoid the media attention and second because he was quite clearly emotionally distraught and felt a sense of responsibility to help the family.
