hey guys Tom Brady is just an overachieving 6th rounder.
And Kurt Warner is an overachieving grocery bag boy
1st round picks never last more than 3 years, duh.
Listed a few guys who weren't huuuuge stars like Charles Woodson and what not in an above post. Two guys I actually know by name, but the third is a sort of wtf. Had to do a little digging, but I just wanted to point out that it's happened plenty of times. There aren't many outside of superstars over the last three years, though, so you're right on that. Still.. I just think Cromartie's a little overrated thanks to that ridiculous 2007 season.
Do I have to break this down for you? Those were the best 3 years of Vashers fucking life. The dude was never heralded as a top back in the league. No one thought he was a baller or compared him to Deion.
He played well, became a hometown hero and GOT HIS OWN NICKNAME WHOAMG.
Then he got injured, missed a couple seasons and became what he is today.
Cool story, bro.
Now if you want to try and prove that Cromartie won't play well in Rex Ryan's system then go ahead, but throwing out random names and claiming I WIN means jack shit and is fucking stupid.
Talking to him or me? I didn't really claim that "I WIN' because we all know how arguing on the internet gets you no where. D: I'm just saying.. in my personal opinion, I don't find Cromartie to be that 'special' sort of guy, like Revis/Nnamdi, etc.
I wish Miz were here so he can explain to you guys the excellence that is Mike Jenkins.
Nah, was talking to Rhinox.
The only point I was making is that Cromartie is an above average player. If you throw him in a system where
A.) He's playing man.
B.) The defense is blitzing/has a good pass rush (Any CB's DREAM)
C.) He's guarding the teams #2 option
then I think he'll be fine. He may not get 10 INT's a year but you can't deny that it's a fucking fantastic situation for him and the Jets.
I suppose anything is possible. I just didn't like hearing about "OH GOD. What do you do now that they have both sides of the field covered?!" talking about him as if he's shutdown cornerin' games.
T.O.>Jerry Rice.
T.O.>Randy Moss. Locker room cancer>Smug cunt.
Straight cash homie
what? I never claimed I won but thanks for stating it.
you say you're just 'claiming' him to be above average but you touting him more then that when you bust out "name me more another guy that..." bullshit.
Funny thing is though I know Nathan Vasher is trash and I've moved on but coming into '07 his resume was just as good if not better then Cromartie. even as a so called Overachiever.
Ultimately my point which was lost in all the trash was you can't base how good a CB is based on INT's. Even in Vashers prime he often got beat. and thanks to a couple of good games against subpar QB's he had an 8 INT probowl season.
Hes average.
Funny thing, they actually made that comparison with Cromartie in his 2007 season (he was also kick returner that year).
The thing I've absolutely hated about him these past two years, aside from his play, is his excuses. After the 2008 regular season was over, and people were wondering why he hadn't gotten more than 2 INTs, his excuse was that his hip was injured the entire fucking season. And of course everybody knows the one that magically popped up this year rather than last year (zone instead of man).
He wasn't the one covering the #1's either - that's been Jammer for a while now. I'm gonna hate the day he finally starts to fall off, which should be soon
If Rex can actually get him to work in that defense, that's fine. I know Cason isn't as good as Cromartie was either, but I think the coaching staff had the same feeling about the excuses and the drama that I do.
