As it turns out, the "scheduled procedure" that Jets coach Rex Ryan underwent Saturday was intended to assist with weight loss.

Specifically, the Associated Press reports that Ryan had "lap-band" surgery on Saturday at NYU Medical Center. He was at home in New Jersey the same day. The procedure, which is less invasive and risky than gastric bypass, places an adjustable band around the stomach.

Greg Wesley played for the Chiefs from like 2000-2007 at SS (was a 2nd round draft pick in 2000; great fucking pick Gunther). Was a very hot-cold type of player. One moment he'd look like an all pro, the next moment....Jason David lol. Permasuck Edwards finally got tired of his shit and gave him the boot. He floated on the Raiders roster a bit without ever playing a game, got cut and that was the end of the legacy known as Greg Wesley.
