That might be where this one is coming from. I just didn't understand why UCONN would allow him at their pro day if he got booted for underage drinking lol.

He's got a good head on his shoulders now, so hopefully he at least gets a shot.

Even if he gets cut, if he's still really solid, he probably be able to sign in NFL Europe. That's what the kid from our LS did. He can further develop there. Just because you go undrafted or you get cut, it isn't the end of the world.

And Tyche, did you see the new rule about non-QBs not being allowed to take snaps from directly under center? I guess that still means shotgun is okay, unless I"m reading it wrong.

Also, I didn't know NFL Europe shut down. I knew Matthew opened a museum after his NFL europe stint, but didn't they had shut it down completely. I guess there's the UFL.

I thought most of wildcat would be taken under center? I mean I can see the merit with taking the snap (one extra blocker) but wouldn't a shotgun formation with a QB (like running a draw) offer some more versatility? I thought most of Wildcat's versatility came from taking the direct snap under center? I'm honestly asking because I don't know so much about the wildcat formation.

No, with the wildcat you have one man in the backfield to take a shotgun snap. By eliminating the QB, you're able to get an extra blocker. Only downside to this is that the defense knows that you're almost always likely to run when taking snaps out, but a lot of times, it's irrelevant because of the extra blocker. If you got someone taking the snap who can throw the ball, it adds that much more versatility.

Any of you guys have a clue as to how ProDays work?


I just spoke with my friend I was talking about earlier, the one trying to make it on to an NFL Squad.

He was telling me he has a ProDay in Connecticut today. I assumed this was because he did play for UCONN for 2-3 years, starting at safety. The off thing is, he got kicked off the team at UCONN lol (underage drinking).

He finished up college playing at Pace. How the hell does he get a ProDay at UCONN if he got booted? Also, are "pro days" given by other organizations aside from schools..... or is like a school only thing?


If he sends me any pictures I'll post em up here. I'm excited for him, but realistically..... nigga has a VERY small chance.

You don't have to be an actual player at said school at anytime to get invited to a pro day. Someone I know went to the MU pro day last year without ever being on the team. He ended up putting in overall better workout numbers than WR Jeremy Maclin.

If your friend doesn't talk to any scouts, they likely weren't impressed lol

There are two more combines coming up for players that likely will be UDFAs. One sometime in May down in Texas and another in Indy later on.

Curtis Lofton isn't a burner but he's pretty effective, all-star quality
