Was a very good game, I'll pick it up definitely because I managed to smash my original CD of this while moving this summer.

Totally not better than 2 though, at least if you played it on Dreamcast

lol i remember playing grandia II on dreamcast over a spring break, and i hardly ever left the room for that week. That was a fantastic game

I've heard very little of Grandia Online, is it a good mmo? Nevermind, i saw the link, i guess i thought it was the mmo for some reason which didn't make much sense really. I still have no regrets that i bought it full price on thursday though, seldom do you find quality games for <10$.

Also, playing Grandia now for the first time and i like it. I think what i like most about it is the opening and the music, not to say it lacks in other areas but i think that catches my attention the most.

They really need to put Suikoden 2 on there now. My dumb ass sold it for 20 bucks before it became super expensive.

Same. Sold a whole bunch of games a while back that I regret doing, and have since shot up in value. Taught me a lesson.

I was really surprised that they actually made you send Sue home. Up until that point in the story everything was quite lighthearted and then things start becoming a lot more dramatic which is of course a good thing.

Also, I particularly remember the scene when Feena goes with Mullen to fight Gaia in her sister's place and Justin basically watches her go off hopelessly as his companions abandon him, rain starts pouring and the main theme music starts playing softly. Really amazing moment.

Wow the boss on the ghost ship is tough...

He is quite hard until you get used to him (as are a lot of Grandia's "many-part" bosses). I can't remember the fight that well but killing off his tentacles will make the fight a lot easier and try to limit how many people he can hit with each AoE.

That's what I did, went Left Tent > Right Tent > Body. The pathway to that girls house is annoying to since the mobs like to gang up on one person and kicking their ass.

As a word of advice, do not let your magic skills fall behind. Also I would start leveling Fire and Earth asap on Justin.

Nah, you're told to get off the boat ASAP due to it sinking.

1. Ghost Ship, obtained after defeating Squid King (boss).
2. Merryl Road, on the west side.
3. New Palm, road under the church. It's hard to find, just get all the water out of there.
4. Rangle Montains, located somewhere west.
5. Rangle Montains, left side of the exit.
6. Dom Ruins, in a chest near the boss.
7. Valley of the Flying Dragon, Where the plant forms a going-around-stairs.
8. Valley of the Flying Dragon, near the exit, hidden near a turning flower.
9. Mount Typhoon, on an island surrounded with poison.
10. Typhoon Tower, left hall from the entrance.
11. Petrified Forest, keep going left after entering the petrified Cafu Village.
12. Alent, near the entrance at the stone pillars.
13. Gaia, you can earn it by defeating some enemies, but the eggs are useless at that point, since you can't go back to a store.
