Baal was a lot harder than both forms Gaia himself sadly

EDIT: Ending was pretty weak sadly. Mullen's VA was pretty bad and it was disappointing you didn't get to see Justin/Feena at the end.

The entire game is easy if you get Justin's ultimate technique (Heaven and Earth Cut)... ridiculous amounts of damage. Feena also has a magic you can get for 99 Forest although I forget what it does.

I agree Baal was horrible. I also hated the fight with Nana/Saki/Mio all at the same time on the airship the first time I played through... Evil Gaia (the very very last boss) seemed very odd to me since he had a huge amount of HP but his offense was appalling. Was wondering if it was meant to be a test of endurance when you were very badly weakened or something...

You can see Justin/Feena at the end of Grandia II although they are not related in any other way! Also look up hidden dungeons you might have missed such as the Tower of Dreams, the Graveyard etc in case you wanted to extend the game a bit.

Thanks for dredging up the most annoying thing in the game for me (yes, even more so than the VA). Trying to grind for Feena's Icarian magic/optional dungeons, I didn't realize you couldn't go back once you enter and saved myself into a corner, and only had my equipped weapons, no spares even in storage. Rapp had some shitty throwing weapon, and with no spare knives or swords to equip and level up, I never got his higher level skills. 10 years ago and it still makes me angry just thinking about it.

Bear in mind that this was a long time ago and this might even be a figment of my imagination due to the fact I am having difficulty finding sources online, but in the playable epilogue of Grandia 2 if you go down to the port, you can talk to a man named Justin who talks about stuff iirc. I honestly can't remember much besides this incredibly vague description. I could even be completely wrong here!
