K now I can see why 3S players don't really like 4. The Parry system shits all over the Focus Attack system. FA is rarely used at high level play because people aren't stupid and don't telegraph their pokes. And you can tell that there's a lot more poking/counter poking going on in 3S. People usually only use pokes to zone their opponent out in 4, and rarely do them to apply pressure. In 3S, poking can go both ways. I especially like seeing someone predicting a poke, parrying it, then going right into a combo. An example would be when one Ibuki player Parry'd an anti-air after a jump in, landed, and then went right into a sweet ass combo.

I also like how the Super Arts are in 32. Ultra combo's in 4 do way more damage compared to Super Arts and can usually dictate the flow of a round. Yun looked like the only character in 3S that can really seal a round with one Super combo. I kind of prefer the way Capcom handled Supers in 3 more than I do in 4. Getting Ultra meter from damage you receive is kind of backwards the more that I think about it.... You shouldn't be rewarded with 50% of the opponents life bar simply because they made one mistake after beating your ass for an entire round...

Overall I like the way the game plays. I hope they make a HD version of 3rd Strike soon. I'd love to play it online with some peoples.

Some character's have good FA's and can get some use out of it, but it's not used by a majority of the cast as a reliable counter poke.

FADC's are one thing, but simple FA's are character dependent because most of them suck.
