Since there is no plain steam thread, I thought I'd make a new post about the new beta UI. It's really nifty and so much better outside out games. Booting up L4D and opening the UI, the first thing I tested was the speed of in the browser. I'm so glad they ditched IE, because it's almost lightning quick now when I want to load pages. Seeing who is in game and recent games is easier too. They also added achievements and news about the game your playing in there as well, which is nice.
Over all, I'm very impressed at everything Valve did. It's pretty much a complete overhual that was needed forever now.

Don't download just yet, it's so glitched it's not funny.
The UI looks nice, but upon launching it decided it should /redownload/ 60 gb worth of game files.
The Right Click menus are glitched as well.
No steam for me for a few days q_q

I've had none of that so far. Launched a few games too. Everything works like a dream.

A couple of us been discussing it in the Steam sales thread.
Otherwise, I've been enjoying the new additions other than the screen real-estate it now takes. Some of the shit they added in were "Better late than never", such as accepting friend invites in the friends menu (seriously, took them how many years?).

I was having a "Install the latest flash update" on the store page I have it but it still wouldn't work. The new UI fixes me from posting about the issues I was having but the only thing I don't like is the game list.
Can we please keep it
Favorite, Installed, and Uninstalled? I hate scrolling through all of the shit I have on it.

Took me a while to figure out how to get the beta UI, but after I did I was pleasantly surprised. I've always hated the way Steam looked and performed, so this is a welcome surprise!

So I hear steam is giving direct news from developers. I like this. Too bad it isn't likely to spell the death of sites like of Kotaku for at least a decade.

I dunno if this has anything to do with the UI beta, but I inexplicably lost my Puzzle Quest saved game. The folder says the data is there, but when I boot up the game, I can't continue, only start a new game. All my other saved games are fine. I haven't messed with anything either.
