I've been wondering for a while if my bank is going to contact me over how much my signature changes. It's seriously just the first letter and then random scribbles.

my s's have very little definition and are often mistaken for l's or I's. At times I find myself drawing in the rest of the S as it looks like I've nearly written a C (only for signatures)

at work, in my notes I write exclusively in block caps -- these are fine (to me) in that I can read my own writing later, but it's pretty awful if I write too fast

I was exclusively left-handed at everything I did prior to learning to write. I was taught to write with my right hand only (no, literally. They told me I couldn't/shouldn't write with my left.) They did everything in their power to encourage right-handedness... then I was moved to a GT school in 3rd grade and they all wtf'ed pretty badly at that.

the same thing happened to me. except it wasnt the school. my father thought writing with the left hand was a sign of the devil. oh man... lol my childhood was so fucked up lol.

Wow, my grandfather used to tell me kids who were left-handed were forced to write right-handed with some judicious knuckle rapping, had no idea they still did that. I mean, that was pre WWII, when they still practiced writing on slates. :/

I wasn't slapped across the knuckles or anything like that, but my teacher was adamant that I only write with my right hand despite me telling her I was a lefty.

Mine turned out the same way too. I've done my best to practice, but the letters change a little every single time. It's mostly minor, but I'm still shocked I don't get more calls.

I haven't experienced that personally but it doesn't seem like getting everyone to write right-handed when you are first taught to write is that bad. I don't know how much coordination a child would already have in the dominant hand at that point, so I guess it could promote bad hand writing since you are learning something with an already awkward hand.

Don't worry about it, mine has contacted me for drawing pictures as my signature.... Yesterday at the pharmacy I drew a syringe and a beer bottle.

it sounds odd, but pick up those books you had in 1st and second grade that taught you letters and numbers.

I broke my hand and had to relearn how to write and it helped out a ton!
