Did 4 Barroths earlier today, well 6 counting 2 near wins... i never want to see him online again. If everyone has Pitfall traps though, and a few nets/trap tools to make more? He actually isn't so bad. Just hard to find people that are actually trying to be effective with supplies and not just cheap and wanting to get leeched through.

Of course, even though I don't WANT to ever see him again, I will happily help anyone out from BG.

When I am on my 4th Barroth run with a group of nubs... I am bringing whatever it takes to ensure I don't have to do it with them again after a fail. =P If i could trust the other 3 people it would be different.

One guy was either AFK or Mining while the rest of us fought on my run... was excellent. Traps made up for the damage he was not doing / present in his brain.

Barroth is quite easy once you get his moves down. Just need not to be greedy with combos and stick to his left/your right side. :D I'm farming up rathalos/diabolos/barioth armor/weapons offline now since it's easier lul.

I think I'll just go through single player for as far as I can then go online and power on through the noobs. I'm only HR 4 from the little I've done, but fighting Royal Ludroth with a dude with the beginning GS and Chain armor is a serious pain.

And for experienced Monster Hunters, should I use my Armor Spheres? I know they up defense, but it seems I go through armor fast enough that boosting defense on one set will only last me until I replace that piece in an hour or two.

Ha... figures. I won't be home til tonight. I stayed up way too GD late last night doing offline shiiit. Killed Lagi though which felt damn good. Took me almost full time... but it was the first time I brought my hammer for him. For repel I had used LS (and repel is a joke anyway).

At first I absolutely could NOT hit him underwater & he was owning me. Once I found his pattern though I broke his chest easy & found fighting him underwater was actually easier.

Need a few more of his parts then I will probably rank up for a while online.

Yeah he's pretty straightforward once his patterns are down. I was gonna wait to farm for Lagia armor online but doing it offline might not be a bad idea

If you can use lance, it'll own lagi badly on land or in water. I'm having trouble with barioth myself, was exptecting him to be another narga but it's totally different with larger hit box ><.

How quickly can I get to the Sandy Plains? I need gluebugs(or w/e) which can only be found there... It is the only thing holding me back on armor upgrades. I am not sure if I should upgrade now or just wait until I get there.
