My plan is to make four sets of armor out of the monsters I am facing right now: Rathalos, Lagicrus, Diablos, and Barioth. I guess Uragaan sort of fits in with that group too? Right now Barioth claws are a pain.

I decided that I am going to finish the Ludroth and Querepeco(sp?) set now and then go take on Barroth with Spiral Spear and Querepeco armor, I think that should be a good combo for him. Then beyond that I am not sure.

From what I read, Agnaktor is very nice for Lancers. Might take a look at that BRP. I assume if you have Barioth then you have him. Offline of course.

If not, then it might unlock when you get Cha Cha back or maybe after you repel Caedeus? I forget.

When DO you get cha-cha back? I just hit that point in offline mode. He's gone the little shit. Probably took some lagiacrus mats with him too.

Anyone ever go in to repeat a quest where you are supposed to hunt a big monster only to have the monster never show up?


Last night I was trying to farm Querepeco so I went to redo the "Playing with Fire" quest which is the one where you hunt the stupid bird and it never showed up. I spend 40 minutes running around every zone in the entire area and never saw it, it was night time too. Glitch or does it not show up at night?

I abandoned the quest went back slept till day and redid the quest and found it really easy.

I have never had that happen no. I have fought a Rathalos for 45 minutes only to have him limp off & completely disappear. Either that or I was stupid unlucky as I searched every area multiple times trying to find him.

Yeah at first I thought I was just being really really unlucky and that stupid bird wasn't landing just flying from zone to zone in the air which I guess is a possibility but I searched for 40 minutes and never saw a shadow or anything in the air and I never saw it on the ground either. It was really weird. Then I did the mission two more times in a row with no issues finding it.

Any tips on breaking its wings? I specifically need at least one more flintstone and so far breaking specific body parts has been a difficulty for me, I randomly did it once but I am not sure how.

I am using spiral lance right now btw.

Certain monsters change areas frequently. Rathalos/Rathian can move every 30 seconds or so if not bothered, so it's very important to keep your paintball on them. Quropeco is a mover too, but not as bad

Quropeco is a mover but I have never seen it move around so fast before that I couldn't find it. Literally 40 minutes of walking around the desert from area to area and I never saw it once.

Speaking of changing areas, isn't that what dung bomb does? Yet it never works for me.

Yeah for me the dung bomb works sometimes on smaller creatures but it doesn't work at all on any of the bigger monsters. Like if Quropeco summons Great Jaggi I throw a dung bomb and Great Jaggi is unaffected.

It works on greater monsters, just not 100%

Dungmaster helps, if you get that from food. Ups the success rate of it working and the combo rate of making it i believe. I almost ALWAYS have some if I am fighting Qurupeco. If he calls Rathian/Ludd I just tag one of them with it and leave em alone, they almost always leave. If they don't, a second bomb does the trick usually.

I love this hr+ stuff but hate the mats their asking for.

Rathian ruby drop rate is horrible...glad I don't have to tell how bad you guys had to deal with the drop in MHFU. Even with ultra lucky cat nothing useful drops.

Rathalos down for me on single player. Not as bad as Lagiacrus that's for sure. At least for me anyway. I think I'm just bad in the water.

Should I be looking to get the Rathalos armor set made? Or should I be looking at some mixed sets now at all? Right now for serious fights I'm using full Barroth armor with a rec level set on it. Also put a jewl on to take off the critical -1 shit lol.

So I have an old ass keyboard lying around and I'm getting to the point where I want to dip my toes into the online play. Problem being, this old ass keyboard has an end for the old PS/2 connectors. Would anyone happen to know if one of those usb adapters actually let the thing work, or do I need to nab a cheap usb keyboard?

Is there a list of weapons grouped by tiers. I can compare other Lances to my Warrior's, but I am not sure when I should start investing in other weapons. In other news my Tusk Lance+ is finally done. All I need is a lagicrus horn and that set is complete. Same with Rathalos plate, but I don't imagine that dropping any time soon.
