Haven't gotten to fight him yet. I need to though, he's got upgrade parts for my best weapon. Any details about him you could let me know in advance? Just killed diablos today if he's any comparison. I'll probably be farming Uragaan for at least 4-5 runs.

I need a fkn majestic horn from diablos.

Anyway Uragaan really isn't that hard. He has some of Barroth's moves but he's so slow that it's pretty easy to predict how he's gonna move. I don't remember which weapon you main but I'd say constantly circle him counter clockwise because most of his moves attack right in front of him which become easy to space when you get used to fighting him. His weakness for a slicing weapon is his underbelly where his tail connects to the torso.

If you use hammer, I'd guessitmate that you focus on his face to break it then finish him off attacking his legs. Or maybe it's attack his legs til his falls then wail on his face? *shrug*

Side note I should probably pick up hammer again like I did in MHFU because I've literally only played with 3 hammer users and Uragaan is one of the fights that'd benefit from one.

When you KO uragaan, he'll be knocked out for a while so I would say knock him out then combo his belly/legs/tail for maybe 2-3 times with superpound? I always go for the head when I'm a hammer anyway.

Forgot to mention he has a gas attack that's aoe centered around him. It's normally sleeping gas but it'll revert to fire when he's raged. Also he has a rolling attack that's unpredictable. It's the only attack I can't dodge with reliability but since I'm a GS user, I just block it instead. So be careful of that.

Hm. Those two might be a problem for me then lol. Usually I get a little overzealous with my hits and I stay near a monster longer than I should. I'll really have to learn to pick my shots and then back off.

Wonder if I should consider getting some sleep resist gems to put on my Rathalos armor set for him.

Got up to HR 29 tonight. Noticed that there seems to be a fair amount of BG people in the 20s or so in HR, so does anyone want to get together to kill Jhen? When everyone's ready, of course. I've got tons of farming for weapons I can do offline so I can wait around for people so we can kill that guy together.

I'm HR24 but everytime I joined a game today, I more or less got booted before we finished so I gave up.

I'm only HR2 >.< I haven't really played online cuz I'm new to the series though. If anyone is really low like me, or wouldn't mind helping me out I'd be up for it if we can find a time.

Also, can anyone give me tips for Barroth? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I just can't kill him fast enough, or he just destroys me. I've tried with a couple different weapon types too, so I'm not sure what would work best for him. Might have to give SnS a try since it's quick.

I know this is mostly chance stuff but have any of you gotten Protection + on a talisman? Looking for at least +6.

I have a Protection +4 with a slot, and a Health +4 no slot. Those are among the 80ish Charms that I have, and I have probably thrown away at least another 30-40...

Always swings his tail in the same direction. Try to stay on his other side at all times. I found Lance fucks Barroth up pretty hard, since you can block his charge and mud shit. Plus you should be able to make a Spiral Lance which has water damage on it. Barroth is weak to water when he has mud on him.

Oh sweet thanks Parsh. That definitely helps me narrow down at least some of what quests I should farm to try and pick up what I want.

Got my Lagiacrus urgent done last night. We farmed it umpteen times for other people the other day while I ranked up enough to unlock it myself and I ended up getting the full armor set... you know, for fighting him, again.

Oh forgot. Killed the Uragaan last night with my friend and some random guys. Our gunner was amazing, really awesome to find people good with that weapon. Real quick though, his jaw looked pretty solid and the few times I smacked with the SA I bounced off. Do you need a hammer to break it?

I need it as a reward to upgrade my SA. Gotta break it to get it as a quest reward iirc.

If you have a gunner you can sleep/bomb the face 2-3 times depend what kind of sleep shot he can use, it should break shortly after.
