I just finished the offline content (for the most part) I didn't finish all the new urgent quests with double monsters in them yet and I haven't killed agnaktor yet. The final fight was quite exciting and fun and I really liked the music. Now I just need to get to the high rank online quests so I can continue to upgrade my weapons. All of them are maxed out right now.

Wasn't sure if online was similar to the GH in MHFU (where you can solo the "online" stuff and get better materials).

Ok, how do you guys do it, I've tried with so many groups to try and beat 5* urgent, but everyone just seems to die trying to beat it down. Any attempt at a sleep bomb run (i admit to leeching (ie - not being able to sleep, but bringing bombs/mats/etc) seems to go completely ignored...

Any of you guys post 50? How'd you do it? lol

I didn't have any good weapons so I went Barioth+ set and a gun that can shoot cluster bomb lv2 and sleep shot lv2.

Having experienced people helps exponentially. If you're looking into recruiting rooms, look for high alatreon skilled players only lol. The best way I've done it is with 4x sleepers instead of 1-2, and everyone needs to bring Large Barrel Bombs, and its massively helpful if you have scatterfish to combine with them to make LBB+'s.

The problem with gunner sleeps is that the other players probably will need to hand off ammo if its just the gunner and maybe 1 other person sleeping. Sleep bombing seems much easier to me to beat it than trying to just fight it, especially since most of the people in the 5 star urgent rooms don't know what to expect.

I say screw sleep bombing, it's only useful if you're aiming to break horns. It was MUCH easier to whack it to death than avoid waking it when it sleeps, line up charges into the walls, passing sleep ingredients to the sleeper, etc. I ended up making a sleep gunner set for myself because I didn't wanna risk it with randoms

Lance and guard +1 is hella useful (I used Giggi armor gemed with guard), and the only attack you'd need to watch out for is the fireball and leap-back fireball (you can block the fire cyclone but you can't block the ACTUAL fireball, I learned that the hard way ; ; ). I used a Para Lance (it sucked) but that ice lance works way better

Also, avoid skilled players only rooms, everyone likes to think they're skilled players lol

so it sounds like luck of the draw.

On one hand, I wouldn't mind sleep bombing, but that's me farming an entire other set (uragann+ probably) as well as getting the ingredients to farm a gun that can actually be worthwhile (dunno if damage affects status chance, or if i can make a wimpy gun but can sleep/para).

On the other, I just have to get a lucky enough group to hit him a lot

For some reason I lost a lot of interest in advancing in the main storyline. I'm at the second urgent quest for the water dragon. Can anyone tell me if you unlock anything good right after that fight? I'm trying to motivate myself.

The next urgent is Ceadeus, which is an offline-only quest. Also after you beat Ceadeus, you get one of the better water Long Swords in the game.
Other than that, not much.

I'm finally Hr32 and I can't decide which armor to get. So far I got laggi armor for most fights and Ratholos for my fire resist set. Should I get Rathian+ Qur+ or Gob+?

I bought Packrat and Organizer books awhile ago but it says I don't own them and its not in my storage. It also wont let me purchase new ones. Is this a glitch?

Offline I just unlocked Urgaaan fight/capture and Ratholos capture. I also haven't finished Laggi capture quest. Do I need to do the capture quests to advance through the story or only have to do the hunts?

Is there anyway to get more then three pages of items for when I go on hunts?

You're basically going to have to make + armor, or upgrade your old sets defensive wise. I went with starting HR31+ going for Ludroth+ armor, then worked into Rathalos+ while upgrading old Rathalos and my other sets. Long as you have your defense increased, use whatever armor you find works for you skill wise.

The packrat and organizer books don't actually go into your box inventory, they just expand it.

There are certain "Key" quests needed to advance to the next quest tier in both offline and online modes. Check here for the key quests needed:

My cousin and I just duo'd Alatreon. I honestly didn't think it was possible and we were only trying for fun since we didn't feel like recruiting random people lol No sleeping either. Just straight melee'd the bitch to death. So much fun.

Yeah, that's my switchaxe skill set. Someone showed me how to do that. Deviljho legs on the Ceadeus+ armor, and use the Regular Ceadeus waist piece. You need 1 handicraft jewel to get back Sharpness+1 and you won't get blunt edge. Also get 5 open slots on armor, 3 and 2.
