It may have been said, but I didn't see it... but what are the weapons you can use right out of the gate, and any idea at what Rank you unlock the rest? Check Wiki now, but wasn't sure if anyone knew off the top.

Picked up my bundle and damn the controller is slick as hell. Can't wait to leave work (where I am watching Barca v Inter...) and get going.

GS, SnS, Hammer, Lance, Bowguns. You get slash axe at like 3 stars and I think you get LS at 4 or 5

Does it have to be the Wiispeak thing or can you use a basic USB headset/mic?

I'm afraid not, you'll need the WiiSpeak. Also if you want Long Swords off the bat they have them in the online forge.

Thank you very much Kais, I didn't realize that it was only LS and Axe that needed unlocking. I understand Axe, as it is new... so make us work for it =P LS needing unlocking seems a bit odd, unless they realize that everyone and their mother (not mine, my mom uses GS) snatch up the LS.

PS. My mom does not, in fact us GS, nor have any idea what a 'monster hunter' is.

You can access it by going to Arena (menu -> quit game -> mode select - > arena)
Dunno if you need to unlock it though, when servers came up, I just got a CS and got in
